The Sun said:
One thing that probably won't happen for Fit, however, is a jump to TNA. Admitting to contact with Impact Wrestling boss Dixie Carter, he also told how they couldn't agree on a contract.

Finlay said: "At one time or another they all got in touch and I listened but the offers weren't right.

"They weren't enough – it's not like it's my first day in the business. I've been doing this for 37 years now and one thing I know is that you can't sell yourself cheap.

Good to see him stick to his morals and not sell himself cheap.

Anybody seen his indy work since he left WWE?

PWG and EVOLVE? He's amazingly still in good shape, been following him a lot in his indy run after WWE. He's doing a good job I reckon and I'm glad he turned TNA down.

Be really interesting to see him feud with Flair or Hogan but he's not on their level in their minds I'm sure.

Finlay is a phenomenal talent but the last thing TNA need is to bring in another former WWE guy and of that age, I might check out some of Fit's indy work.

I keep waiting for them to do Young Bloods vs. Millionaires club round 2. It's sad because that was based on the fact that they were old and needed to leave the buisness for new guys and that was almost 15 years ago...

Check his match against Sami Callihan from EVOLVE 9 if possible.

I see him going back to WWE one day and I think he is hoping for that so knew from that standpoint he wouldn't wanna sign with TNA. So add in the fact that TNA can either waste money or lowball people with money because some people sign with them in spite of WWE so they go for less money it makes a lot of sense for him not sign there.

Finley would not benefit at all from going to TNA. He's been doing this for 37 years and while he might be old like TNA likes, I don't believe he'd fit in and or get along with Hogan and the people in charge. And going to TNA would hurt his chances of getting back to the E. I am happy he had the fortitude to turn down TNA unlike others, and I hope Fit does wind up in WWE again, if only as a trainer/road agent.

Good move by Finlay as he said at his age there is no point working for less money than he is worth. I am sure that within a year he will be back as an agent for WWE anyway.

Ì think the reason WWE released him was due to an error he made, I'm not sure where, but it makes sense considering the fact they do more and more things to make the company look good nowadays. My hope is that he slowly returns as a trainer once more for the WWE as he did good work with some talent.

They fired him because he produced a segment where The Miz came out and interrupted the national anthemn in front of a group of miltary personel or on a special day. Basically the segment annoyed the armed forces and WWE had to fire someone and since it was Finlay's idea he was the one who took the heat.
