I always preferred Finlay as heel. He brought more smash-mouth style wrestling and was a constant threat to the US title when on SD! Plus he was such a good heel he brought a lot of heat which is what you need to be a top heel as the fans have taken notice of you making your character more popular. Hornswoggle has made Finlay a wimp in a way and i hope Mike Knox changes that.
