Ziggler/Jericho is only just getting started, be patient bro. We've had an epic promo from Dolph which has put him over well and then he screws Jericho. It's turning Jericho tweener and Dolph is being solidified as a heel. It's also a SmackDown feud now, so wait until spoilers are posted to see if it develops better there.

I understand the feud will get better, but it was Raw 1000. It would have been nice to see them given something to work with last night. Whatever they do on Smackdown will be fine I'm sure but it's not the same as having a big moment on last night's show.

I actually sat and read every single word of that lol.

A very good review and very in-depth with some parts of it, I completely agree with pretty much all of it but especially about the opener and Ziggler/Jeritroll. The opener was pretty enjoyable and put Sandow over, but it kind of set a "This is gonna be a fun celebration" tone rather than edge of your seat exciting kind of show.

That tag team match that started the show was quite irritating for me. Why did Sheamus and Del Rio have to be involved? It just made it a total clusterfuck. I personally thought Ziggler and Jericho should've been on a Piper's pit but if they had to go through with the tag match, why not make it Botcha and Rey teaming up for the first time, against Ziggler and Jericho who were also an interesting coalition - so why water it down with Sheamus and Del Rio? The finish also pissed me off as it was a rushed assault from Ziggler, it should've been a Zig-Zag and then Rey and Cara capitalizing and doing a double team finisher to beat Jericho.

Also Bryan's promo on Sheen deserves a mention, I thought it was very good.

I tried to block everything Sheen related out of my memory. He, along with the incessant ads and Tout BS really detracted away from the atmosphere and quailty of the show IMO

I'm glad you read all of that and enjoyed it though. I warned everyone it would be elongated (over 2,000 words lol) and I'm surprised nobody has TLDR'd it

edit: I'm also glad you agree with me on the tone of the show and how the opening segment set said tone. I pretty much expected the show to go this happy celebration legend heavy route, but it was still disappointing. But we still got a decent show and at least a couple of interesting new storylines with Punk and DB so it wasn't all bad; just could have been a lot better.

lmfao, word count tool says this was 2481 words. That's probably longer than anything I ever wrote for a paper in high school

I've been bashed before for not marking for returns in the past (Rikishi comes to mind), but whatever. 9 or 10 years doesn't seem like that long to me. And hell, we had just seen a lot of the APA when Simmons went into the HOF, and in numerous Raw specials in the past. Did I like the APA, sure. But seeing them come out on the show didn't make me mark. Lita, never cared for her and she certainly didn't make me mark. The legends we've already seen.. okay. I like Slater, but I was tired of this a couple of weeks ago.. it was just more of the same and it's played out to me.

Slater taking Santino's meaingless belt sounds better to me.
