Fightful : Elimination Chamber is scheduled for the February Saudi Arabia event

WWE is set to return to Saudi Arabia on February 19 for a rare weekend show in the area, and they're planning on bringing a huge concept over -- the Elimination Chamber.
Fightful has learned that as of now, the working plan is for the Elimination Chamber match and structure to take place at the February Saudi Arabia show. We're unsure of the Premium Live Event name will follow that, or if they'll opt for something different. Some staff that is working with WWE in the area have also been briefed of these plans.
Tentative preparation for the Elimination Chamber to take place in Saudi Arabia in February has been going on since the last show there in November, which is when Fightful first heard rumblings of the rumor. There was also discussion of possibly taping an episode of WWE TV there in the future, though that's hardly confirmed.
Elimination Chamber has been a bit of a tradition during that time of year, with over a dozen Chamber matches taking place in February.

Awesome, the Hell in a Cell match they got delivered. You get the right people in this match and I'm sure they'll have another banger to hopefully get us back-to-back good Saudi shows.

I agree they should alter the name for this event considerin' things.

yes, for WWE fans I hope this event is more like the last one and less like the other really bad ones. At least they were on the right track making these shows just canon "premium events" as opposed to dumb super houseshows. hopefully that continues!

I’d be perfectly fine with them doing away with the Elimination Chamber as a PPV(or premium live event) and just do them on special shows like this

I didn't mind it as a stand alone event, I just disliked it sandwiched between Rumble and Mania. I reckon if it was towards the back end of the year it would be fine.

Yeah I actually think as far as the match specific shows, EC is a better concept for it than like HIAC for example (which should be saved for blood feuds) but it shouldn't be between the rumble and Mania lol

eh, much like the rumble, i feel two of the same gimmick match in the same night just gets repetitive a.f , hence why i wasnt a fan of EC as a standalone ppv.
