Chamberlain is an overrated talent imo. One of my unpopular opinions though. I'm a big fan of the lad though, I just don't think he'll be a break out star. Similar to how Walcott was hyped. Wilshere however can be anything he wants.
Same here he was discovered too young and now everyone thinks he's the next big thing just because he's a handy young player. Don't get me wrong I hope that I am wrong because he comes across alright and England need some top young players, but I really can't see him ever being International quality.

No love for Tom Cleverley yet then

(Speaking as a United fan, I hope they train him up to a level high enough to make him the next Scholes!)

Tom isn't really that young any more and isn't doing as well as many United fans thought he would. When I was watching him in the reserves, I thought Cleverley was the next Scholes. However, Cleverley doesn't bring much to a game apart from decent passes and lots of midfield energy. Whilst we do need energy, and he's great at using it to close people down, we need more quality in midfield. Anderson has more potential than Cleverley imo.

I think there's an undying need for a Scholes replacement within me. I think the guy is great (I may be classing him as young in a last-ditch attempt to also class myself as young!) but I see your point and agree for sure!

Oh definitely. We've needed to replace Scholes for the last 3 or so years. Ferguson, as good as he was, absolutely failed at bringing in a replacement and preparing for the future. Scholes is my all time favourite player, and in my opinion is the greatest midfielder the English game has ever seen, so Ferguson not bringing in a replacement for him was a huge let down. We've missed out on so many talents who could have done it as well. Moyes seemingly recognises our need for a new midfielder, but we have embarrassingly failed at bringing Fabregas here, didn't try hard enough to bring Thiago here, and will probably resort to Fellaini bids :(.

I keep trying to think of a viable replacement but there just don't seem to be any available and for some unknown reason Moyes has spent all of his time and effort on Fabregas. Don't get me wrong, Fabregas is a good player but he hasn't seemed keen to move and if a player isn't keen on leaving Barcelona for United now, I doubt that will change anytime soon.

Ashley Young

1) Fuck you. Ashley Young sucks and we paid far too much for him. Overrated English trash who can't do fuck all for the price we paid for him.
2) He's not even young.

3) If this is a clever pun then still fuck you. Don't joke around with this stuff.
