Now that HBK's career is over, what are some of your favorite moments/matches of his career?

My first memory of HBK that stuck out the most was definitely his Summerslam 2002 match with HHH, proved the kid still got it.

I got so many I can't even post them all in this post, I got to think.

Favorite match was HBK vs McMahon at Wrestlemania 22. Loved it, not cause I was there live, it was just a brutal match.

First Hell in a Cell
HBK-Mankind-Mindgames
HBK-Diesel- IYH:Good Friends, Better Enemies
HBK-Austin-KOTR 97
HBK-Razor Ladder matches @Mania 10, SS 95
Royal Rumble 96 victory
HBK-Sid Royal Rumble 97, 63,000 plus to see the Hometown Kid reclaim his title and I was there!
The entire first run of DX, just groundbreaking and awesome

The entire return angle fro 2002 and most certainly that match
HBK-Jericho-everytime they hooked up
HBK-HHH, all the matches were very excellent, not one decent match, they were all great
HBK-Angle- same as above
The Hogan promo
not the match itself, but the insane overselling in the Hogan match
HBK-Cena
HBK-Flair
HBK-Taker both times

I have so many fond memories of Shawn, he is easily my favorite worker ever, and I think he's easily the greatest North American worker since Flair stepped out of his prime. These are just the things that stand out to me about the man, my favorite HBK matches and moments and I am very saddened to see him go, but at least he went out in a way so few, if any go out. It would be nice to see him come back in a manager, GM role, but if would rather stay at home and live a great life, who is to hold it against him?

Shawn Michaels vs Triple H rivalry was epic. Starting at Summer Slam 2002 all the way to Royal Rumble 2004. I love his matches he had with Undertaker at In Your House and like 10 refs got knocked out.

Austin vs Michaels was a classic.

The promos of Michaels did with DX in 1997 were very funny too. I really like when he was holding up the signs "Who Booked This?" and "I'd Rather Be in Chyna"

Didn't it go all the way to Bad Blood for the HIAC in 2004? I also think they had a match at Taboo Tuesday later that year, but that wasn't really part of the rivalry.

  • The angle in the barbers shop.
  • HHH/Shawn at Summerslam 2002.
  • Shelton Benjimon/HBK On Raw in 2005.
  • Vince McMahon/HBK @ WM22.
  • John Cena Vs. Shawn @ WM 23.
Those are some of my favourite Hbk moments.

As controlversial as it seems, I loved the screwjob, not because what happened, but because it created a legacy, and it was a good match between two immortal ledgends before Vince got involved. Other favorite were the 45 minute Hell In A Cell match with HHH, tbh the whole fued was awesome. Otherthings that stick out were DX reuniting and Spirit Squad getting sent back to Ohio. From the 90's it would be the whole big sausage incident with Hunter and Chyna, aswell as the Sgt Slaughter eye gaured. Just a few which stick out to me.

The 47 minutes HIAC was boring for me. That match was an egofest. Same thing with the DX reunion. Dx vs. Spirit Squad was a ppv main event. Maybe a secondary ppv but when RVD vs. Edge, (which was a great match), goes on before that match or Kane vs. Fake Kane, you have problems.

My favorite HBK moment was his return at Summerslam 2002. No one knew if he had anything left and the angle with his back was played out perfectly.

Before that, I loved his IC title runs. You could see flashes of his greatness.

No way you saw Marty Jannety being thrown through the Barber Shop window if one of your favorite Michaels moments is his goddman match with Vince McMahon.

I think HBK's feud with Angle was really done well. It isn't that famous of a moment but I loved when he dressed like the camera guy with the fake mustache, that was classic.

His feud with Y2J in 2003 as well, since they were like mirrored doubles of each other. Great match, great rivalry, and a great way to welcome HBK back to Mania.

Oh and who can forget his Sweet Chin Music on Hulk Hogan? Oh man I did not see that coming and that made the entire crowd just go WTF!

Plus his Larry King spoof on Hogan too, that was incredibly genius.

Its not the Best moment to its one hell of a moment when Shawn Superkicked Shelton's teeth down his throat on Raw in 05.
And of course the epic HHH-HBK rivalry. They work better against each other than with each other tbh.

The super-kick of Marty Janetty through the Barbershop to end the Rockers and usher in the HBK phenomenon.
Wrestlemania 10 ladder match with Razor Ramon.
This year's Wrestlemania match with Taker.

Everything about the man's career was simply phenomenal. Not too many people in the industry can look back on their career and say that they've had hardly any missteps or detours. He was head and shoulders about just about everyone as a worker, showman, and just all around entertainer. I really can't think of too many things that HBK has done that I didn't enjoy... if there are any at all.

HBK/Bret
HBK/HHH
HBK/Jericho
HBK/Taker I would have to say are my four main highlights from his career.
