I'm confused as to why he's a traitor. He's the antithesis of traitor. He was loyal to his manager and attacked his managers would-be attacker. I mean yeah his manager (in character) is a piece of shit, but he attacked someone with whom he has no affiliation to save the person he is affiliated with.

he's a traitor to Kenny Omega who brought him into AEW. He was also strong armed by Callis who imposed himself on him. He 100% has affiliation with Kenny and was even offered an honorary Elite position on BTE. Kenny supported him early on his aew run too. Now, of course theres storyline reasons that give Takeshita reason to make the choice to join the dark side, such as Danielson saving him and befriending him during the MJF feud (and this was also shown when Takeshita saved Kenny the first time, but NEVER attacked Danielson, only Yuta n co) and also that Kenny didnt seem that interested in Takeshita joining or helping , and was more interested to text someone (more bte lore).

Takeshita def betrayed Kenny, but Kenny also never made much of an attempt to bring him into the fold (the bucks did, but Kenny ignored all of them being emo). edit: Kenny was also too busy being emo about Hangman

Choosing Callis over doing the right thing is also def a betrayal to the fans who had been cheering Takeshita loudly and been behind him, only for him to willingly align himself with not only BCC but Don Callis (where as before it was a forced relationship by Callis).

its possible hes not joining, I think he is because I think I know exactly where the story is going (5 on 5 and Kota Ibushi rejoins the Elite)

and yes, that is the fun part of this story. BCC and Elite both have actual good points as to why the others are dicks. BCC are trying to prove a point so everything makes sense from their POV, as does Elite's POV of atm they are still having their chickens come home to roost and dealing with the fallout of all their shitty actions since AEW's inception, and now trying to refind that original magic when they were all their best selves. a bit of a redemption arc, one might say. Im loving it
