Fish doesn't defend Rondo because he is better running through screens. He has been defending Ray since he was a Buck while Kobe took Big Dog and later Lewis.

If it is Paul, Deron, Rose, Parker, or Nash he is on them. Plus Kobe frustrates Rondo's no shooting ass because he takes away his passing lanes and can stop him from getting to the rim.
