Anderson Varejao left Friday's game during the second quarter due to a right (shooting) wrist injury and will not return.
X-rays taken were negative, but we're guessing an MRI is coming down the pipe. Shooting wrist injuries are tricky, but might impact a power player like Varejao a bit less than a volume shooting guard. Tristan Thompson moved into the lineup when Varejao left and this could be the jump-start he needs, and while Semih Erden hasn't seen the floor tonight the duo could split the center minutes if Varejao's injury is serious. Since Thompson could also see minutes at PF, he would be the preferred add. Until we learn more, he's a very speculative add in 12-team formats.
