Share your fandom regrets of an angle, push or anything wrestling related that you initially wanted but then regretted.

I’ll start:

Kane removing his mask.

For years I wanted to know how he looked liked rumor was he looked like Mark Calaway, there were pictures of Glenn Jacobs during his fake Diesel and Issac Yankem days but I didn’t know for sure that was the man playing Kane.

So on that faithful night in June 2003 from MSG, while watching at home even though I wanted Kane to win the World Heavyweight title from Triple H, I wanted more desperately to have the years long mystery revealed.

I was rooting Kane to lose and behold... he loses.

I’m all gittery and elated he’s about to take his mask off, the crowd chants “Take it off! Take it off! Take it off!” like a typical college frat party.

I’m excited, I’m going, I’m ready, and then as he’s taking off his mask....

His hair comes off. I’m thinking... what??? I knew he had hair for years, who is this imposter with the curly fro...

He turns around... and have his head is bald and he’s wearing black makeup as if that’s the burns... a normal looking dude, not the character that was burned by his brother.

The rumors were true, it indeed was Glenn Jacobs... the mystery was gone and the mask removal sucked.

I remember feeling they ruined his character that very night after the show, and behold they further ruined him with horrible writing.

For years while Kane was now bald, looking like a create a wrestler template in a WWE game stuck in the midcard doing horrible angles I deeply regretted wanting this.

Washed how? Doing the best first person promos? Doing the best in ring promos?

Showing everyone that his whole character is someone trying to wrong a right, that being I lost everything at the top my hame, but I had to lose it all....now it's time to show I got a lot left in the tank.....

No character at all. :hhh6:

They’re just haters. I guess wrestling for an hour in the rumble wasn’t good enough for them.

The Kane unmasking scenario was one of the highlights of his career. A buddy of mine lent me a VHS tape of that episode of Raw that he recorded, and I still haven't given it back. I think it was something that needed to happen. After Kane went loony I guess there was nothing he could do to constantly top himself after tombstoning Linda, electrocuting Shanes balls, setting JR on fire, threatening to chokeslam a 3 year old etc. The stupidest thing they did was put the mask back on him. But I guess that had to get done eventually? I don't really recall what Kane did after WM20, but I don't recall him doing anything too memorable after that.

Chris Benoit was rumoured to get a push online I was looking forward to it and knew he was gonna win the rumble but that flopped majorly. DX reuniting was also garbage I think I may have had high hopes for that even in 2006 when things started to go extremely downhill. lol

Watch it again lmao. And even if that was true what about the matches against Randy Orton. Both those matches lasted like 40 minutes.

Yeah not a fan of Edge winning the Rumble and main eventing mania, he literally has grey hairs and while he can certainly still go, it just feels silly to give him a big push for Mania when you've got so many other guys who need the push more.

WWE needs to create new stars, not bring back veterans for a year or two as bandaids. Like, last year's Drew push was perfect. Took Brock, made him feel like a millioin bucks, then had Drew go over him to make him feel like a big deal.

This year they should rather have pulled the trigger on someone else to elevate them to the main event; instead they're probably going to have a 50-year-old who could get injured at any time go over one of the best heel characters they've had in years. It just doesn't make sense.

He's clearly a draw but should be used as a gate keeper to the main event rather than as its crown jewel.

Reigns should beat him in less than a minute if we are being real. Hope they have the balls

Yeah you’re high :lol Edge and Reigns could actually have a great match. That’s the funny part.

Being a Triple H fan during the Monday night Raw where he humped the Katie Vick mannequin, that was one time I regretted being a fan.

The Benoit stuff and most recently the speaking out stuff had me feeling regret being a fan.
