It can work. Curtis is best when working with a real character instead of just "dude in tights" and they are working a smart way to get him heat. Showcase him without showcasing him.

He's an okay in ring guy. Nothing to tout as the next big thing in ring whise but he isn't bad either. I haven't seen him work as Fandango either since that has been just house shows. He was just Curtis on NXT.
