No not wrestling just the gimmick. I don't like when they over feed into a character only to have lack of actual wrestling skill in the ring.
I don't think one has to equate to the other. I prefer a talented in ring performer to have an entertaining gimmick, like Bret in 97 with his anti-USA fans schtick.

I either like a wrestler for his character or his ability in ring, rarely for both. I know that sounds weird but... An example would be Ryback. I find him absolutely hilarious but in ring, I don't need to watch him. Dolph Ziggler, I like for both. Daniel Bryan I like for both. Bret Hart I like for both. Christ Jericho I like for both. That is probably why they are my favorite. John Cena is another example. I love him on the mic but in the ring he is just okay. He is a great wrestler, don't get me wrong, but the way he wrestlers is bland. Rey on the other hand I love in ring, but hate on the mic.

You love Rey in the ring in 2014? I find him to be the absolute worst thing going in a WWE ring at this stage in his career.

My entire family despises wrestling. Only match I've seen with a family member was Punk/Lesnar from this year, she walked in during the video package and was interested in the underdog concept.

Not giving a time frame, obviously he is not that great anymore. He is older and too invested in this appearance and his weight gain. His lack of confidence shows.

Not that great? He wins his matches with a fucking falling splash. A 100 lb mexican putting away dudes 3 X his size by gently landing on them from an elevation of 8 feet. fuck Rey Rey yo, dude needs to hang em up already. He was dankest dank back in the 90s, but his WWE run never did it for me. WCW Rey was a killer. Watered down, winning major titles WWE Rey was the worst

To each his own I suppose. I agree he was better in WCW but I still enjoyed him in WWE.

It's pretty much just me. Actually had a grandmother who loved watching it back in the day. She was a big Hogan fan, and she'd get all into it, raising her voice, etc. from what I recall. I remember my cousin, who my grandparents raised, having a Hogan Wrestling Buddy for years. But I never really watched it with them. I also had a great-grandmother on the opposite side of the family who would watch it, and my grandmother would give her a hard time about her watching half-naked men on TV in her old age. :haha: But again, never watched it with her.

I pretty much got into it because an ex watched it, so I started watching it with him. One of my closest friends has watched it all her life with her family, so after he and I split I kept watching it and talking about it with her.

I totally got into watching wrestling due to my parents watching when I was a kid. I remember the times when people would come over and we would get to watch the PPV's. Good times
