I think he's pretty good as a face but I personally prefer him as a heel.

I think now is as good a time as any for Bobby Roode to become a face again, I think with a strong face turn he could become a two-time TNA heavyweight champion.
Could definitely see him as the guy to take the title away from Magnus

so he's one dimensional? Maybe the face turn would make for an even greater heel turn down the road.
That doesn't mean he's one dimensional. He's just too good as a heel. I wouldn't want to see him as a face, or I should say I wouldn't enjoy him as much. The guy is just so good at being hated. He's probably talented enough to get over as a face but I just see it as wasted talent.

I agree but Face (and really it could be Aries style tweener) vs Dixie Roode would be amazing. I guess it makes my point invalid since he wouldnt be a typical face but I agree with you I wouldnt want to see babyface roode or one who wants the fans to cheer for him, but i could see him vs the system (like DB i guess)

I like the shades of gray deal, i guess we can agree to disagree. I wouldn't mind a reboot time until the dixie bullshit is over so he can take over as top heel of the company. Hell, maybe face him can get a spot in the board and then turn back to the heel we would want and then some.

I'm not sure if there's anyone other heel on the roster (inb4Daniels) that you can turn face and expect better results than Bobby. It feels like they have to turn someone. Assuming Joe doesn't win at Lockdown, who else do they have to put in the main event scene? Gunner? Abyss? Anderson? Storm? MVP? Going back to the well with Angle and Hardy? Can they pull Option C early to get Aries back up there?

Maybe you'd be more optimistic with some of those guys, maybe the build would be better than it looks on paper (especially with Anderson), but right now despite Bobby's GOAT heeldom he's probably their best babyface option.

I'm 100% looking at this from a smark point of view, and I have no idea what the casual:smark ratio is in TNA, but I know for a fact with Bobby being a face people will inevitably start wanting him to turn. I'd be okay with him going down a real tweener route, similar to Aries, but a full out babyface just won't work with me. Roode is probably talented enough to make it work and the majority will love it, but from a very bias point of view, I'd much rather him be pushed once again as the BITW heel he is.

Tyrone (I can spell it how I want :tough:), I was trying to type 2 paragraphs on how the build would guarantee you he isn't turning... but when you get to thinking about the build, how idiotic is this? He lost a #1 Contenders' Match fair and square and has been bitching about his lack of title shot ever since. That's the best possible example of douchebag heel and they're using it to turn Bobby Roode face... well lets see if they can pull it off.

It might actually work... and that's the scary thing! The only way it could (from a casual standpoint) is because Dixie's such an over heel that someone being a butthurt bitch to her would get them sympathy... so that would justify Dixie being on TV. Fucking hell

IMPACT last night proved Roode has the crowds eating out of his palm no matter what he does, shows you how good he truly is.

One second they cheer him, the next they boo him, and again he manages to get big pop at end of his segment. Watch it.

Heel > Face , though, imo.

holy shit what a promo he cut... he could be just as great a face as he is a heel IMO.
