This sounded like a good idea.......

.....and then you typed "Sting". You could have typed "Neville", "Graves", "Zayn"....really anybody not named "Mojo Rawley" from NXT and I would have been okay. But the thought of Sting actually wrestling a match just turns me completely off. Bring him in on a Legends contract and let him do something backstage or stuff and I'm okay, but don't put him in the ring. I would rather have Punk return and become part of the "New Shield" than Sting.

And I'm a fan of Sting's, have been for years. But he shouldn't be wrestling any longer.

And I may be the only one in the IWC looking forward to Kane/Bryan, but I'm looking forward to Kane/Bryan. Besides, the Shield gets a bigger rub from facing HHH/Orton/Batista than Bryan would get from facing HHH again. His match against Kane, which is fairly obvious to be a Bryan victory, means little. It's his first PPV title defense. Of course he's going to win it. He's not a transitional champion, so he's going to win his first major defense. Most first-time champions (and, despite the fact he's technically a 3-time champion, this is his first real title reign) get a couple of "easy" title defenses to start off. Since Bryan's likely carrying the belt until at least Summerslam, it makes sense for him to make his first PPV defense against a guy who's likely on his way out. The fact that it's Bryan's old tag team partner (and reportedly a guy who Bryan is close friends with) may mean nothing to the jaded IWC smarks who think they know better how to tell the stories than people who get paid to do it and are generally highly successful at it, but it means something to those two and the other folks in the back and, after the promos we'll get between Bryan and Kane in the next two weeks leading into ER (both guys are noted for their ability to build tension on the mic), it will mean something to the WWE Universe.

The Sting part of it was supposed to be a joke lol..... But yeah Zayn would be great.... or as D'Z suggested, Ziggler.

I should hope so! Just messing with you. :lol1:

I really don't want them to bring any more NXT guys up just now, since we know that Bo and Adam Rose are about to come up. But, having Rollins and Ambrose team up with Ziggler, Sandow, Miz (I know, many would really hate it, but it's more about the character than the performer), or Ryder, all guys who've been crapped on by "backstage" in recent months, despite the fact that most of them get good reactions from the crowd (particularly true of Ziggler and Sandow), would definitely make sense.

Also, I do like the idea of them adding someone like Reigns (in fact, Reigns would be the perfect choice) if they're going to run with "New Evolution" after Extreme Rules. In fact, I think it's absolutely necessary.

Zayn actually accompanied the main roster to Saudi Arabia...

The Shield member Roman Reigns won one of the biggest singles matches of his WWE career tonight during the final WWE Live Event in Riyadah, Saudi Arabia.

He reportedly defeated Randy Orton clean with a Superman punch and spear.

Below is the final results for the event...

- Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel

- Kofi Kingston defeated Damien Sandow

- The Usos defeated Goldust and Cody Rhodes

- Sami Zayn defeated Heath Slater

- Cesaro defeated Mark Henry

- Roman Reigns defeated Randy Orton

- John Cena, Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus defeated The Wyatt Family

Wonder if Kane v Bryan will be a loser leaves town match or some form of? This would ultimately lead to Kanes retirement.

I'm hoping for that stipulation to be added also because as of right now none of us are really jizzing our pants over the idea of Kane taking on DB again. Kane has had a fantastic career that has run its course at the age of 46/7, I think by adding the 'If Kane loses he is fired' stipulation a little fire is added to the match and will also give Kane a respectable send-off, losing to the WWE World Heavyweight champ for the title is a good and fair way of ending Kane's in-ring WWE career.

I'm almost surprised they didn't have him work with Cesaro somewhere along there.

wk

I think that they did have him lose to Cesaro in one of the live shows :). At least I think I read that somewhere.

EDIT:
04/18/14 live results

WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos defeated RybAxel
- Goldust defeated Heath Slater
- Sheamus defeated Damien Sandow
- Cesaro defeated Sami Zayn
- Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns defeated Luke Harper & Erick Rowan
- WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose defeated Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston & Dolph Ziggler in a fatal four way to defend the title.
- Randy Orton defeated Mark Henry
- John Cena defeated Bray Wyatt. After the match, Harper & Rowan attacked Cena, but Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler ran out to make the save.

Graves being in The Shield would be boss, indeed. Doubt it's gonna happen, though.

How about creating the new SHIELD, a new trio...? What I mean is... There are 3 guys who've been treated like crap for the last year and that is Best In The World - CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz. So, them coming together as a team would be good, in my book.
