For those of you who don't watch ECW (apparently that's a lot of you), you will have at least seen the artist formerly known as Matt Sydal on Raw this past week. The crowd reacted to him well, which some people may put down to Mysterio, but it is the norm for him on ECW. People seem to have really taken to his new style, as he's way different from anything else we see. So that raises the question: is Bourne about to become a main eventer on ECW?
He seriously can't be too far away from it. I mean, the crowd loves him. The bookers must like him, as he has been booked strongly. Promo skills aren't great, but they can be devoloped over on ECW. When you have a different style like he does, mic skills aren't really needed to main event ECW. So to me, once they build him up a bit more, he's good to go. He's already the number three face in the pecking order booking wise, so it isn't a big jump. I could see him, if not being in the ECW Title match at next WM, then in the MITB match. And ECW doesn't exactly get a lot of spots on WM.
So what do you think? Is Evan Bourne ready to move up to the main event soon?
