I assume there will be at least a few of us who will be watching this tournament closely, so we may as well have a place to chat about it right? I'm backing Ukraine since I'm half Ukrainian but I don't expect them to win the whole thing. Still, stranger things have happened and they do have the home advantage (sort of) so it'll be interesting to see how they play.

I also mentioned in the betting thread that I feel Croatia is a team that is being overlooked by many and could easily surprise in this tournament. Outside of that, the group of death is insane and those teams may end up causing some real damage to each other, leaving them ripe for the pickings in the second round.

Obviously backing England. Same group as the Ukraine, and with similar expectations. Could easily fail to make it out the group stages but would still be considered favourites by some to win it.

Never realised how high up the rankings the were Croatians, definitely dark horses in this tournament.

Also realised that the Danish are ranked tenth in the world, yet are outsiders to win their group

Sorry I haven't created this thread, good news is I've only got one more exam left so I will be posting more frequently soon.

I'll obviously be backing England in the Euros. I don't think we really stand a chance of winning which could be better for us. I think that we will get to the Quarter Finals at best. I personally think that Germany will win it.

The Germans are a good pick, they've developed a really strong young team over the last few years. This may merely be a test before the World Cup for them though.

Honestly have no idea who to pick as favourites. I guess the Spanish but after winning two straight majors, I'm sure teams are starting to figure them out now.

Good win for us today, I thought it was an overall hard fought victory and a good team performance. We could do alright at the Euros, hopefully our players will do better without all the pressure on them to succeed.

Hard to argue with winning both warm up games and keeping two clean sheets. Still not overly confident though, better teams would've given us more grief than Norway & Belgium.

Belgium have some great players though, surprised they're not in the Euro's.

I'm going to go with the same.

I've got a parlay tomorrow on Russia to beat the Czech's and Poland/Greece to draw.

I can see Russia beating Czech Republic but I can also see Poland winning due to home advantage.

Yeah, I tried to factor that in as well, stuck with the draw because it pays better. Either way, today's the day chaps, can't wait for the opening game. Of course I'm going to miss it seeing as I'm catching Prometheus in an early show but still, good times.

expecting the Poles to win their first game, I reckon they'll be more up for it than the Greeks.

Good draw for Greece I suppose, I thought Poland would win it. Russia are totally outplaying the Czech's. You're on for your money Fuji.

Good first day for me, I'm up $125 after that parlay. Now on to tomorrow's games, where I'm thinking Netherlands and Germany will be coming out winners.
