Violence is always going to be an issue. But to not put blame on how easy it is to get a gun is not the way to go. As you said, he'll find a way to harm someone. But making it harder for him to get a hold of weapons makes that even harder for him.

As for the "he'll just get a knife argument". Put effort on that as well.

Over here it's not illegal to have a knife. But you are not allowed to walk around with it in a public space (unless you're like a carpenter doing some work)

The knife argument is for simple minded people who just want to have a quip to throw in during discussion IMHO. You aren't really saying anything. Why ban anything? Why ban hand grenades? People will just make homemade explosives!

After reading this on @Just Kevin thread, I looked at he's youtube page that was provided by @Z.T.O and still have no idea why youtube is allowing he's channel to remain public.
