EliteXC is dead

Dave Meltzer is reporting that the number two MMA group in the U.S. in EliteXC has gone under. No offical announcement has been made but many of the companies fighters were told as such this week. Dave says the "death nail" for the company was the investigation on them by the Florida Athletic Commission following Seth Petrosell's claims that XC paid him extra not to take Kimbo Slice down. CBS was in talks to puchase the promotion but backed out when the commission started investigated them.

rofl does anyone still think that the fight was rigged because Kimbo lost? Im sorry but your Blue if you think that. The fight was rigged because the XC did there best to make Kimbo win. But Kimbo lost because he is a fucking FRAUD. Im glad ElteXC is dead they deserve to be dead with there rigged fights and im even glader that Kimbo's career just got destroyed.

Really surprising espicially since they were negoitating with Tito Ortiz and had Kimbo.


Hopefully both will go to UFC, but anyway EliteXC was a joke anyway. UFC is where its at.

That sucks. I really loved watching EXC on CBS. It had some damn good fights. However, that whole Kimbo vs. Petruzelli was a little odd. They could have atleast went into round 2 and make it believable.

I dont know Dana might pick up Kimbo just to emberrase him against guys like Couture, Mir, Nougirea (sp?)

Or the dream matchup of Kimbo vs Lesnar.

The fights were great, Kimbo was awesome, Gina C. was the shit... why do such a thing??? It had decent ratings

So maybe the match was rigged, they should have a rematch, with the WINNER fighting Ken Shamrock, that would've been cool, but no, oh well

Kimbo will go to WWE and do a one timer at Mania like Mayweather, that would rule.

The day Dana picks up Kimbo is the day I question is UFC is legit or not. Lesnar is enough at the moment.

No more Gina Carano?! Now I'm really sad that's EXC is gone.

I don't even know what to think about EXC whether the fights were rigged or not, I still can't believe I won't see Gina anymore or least until American Gladiators comes back.

Kimbo is nothing more than a Tank Abott, basically a hit or miss fighter, He hits you your done you hit him he's done. That's why I don't get everyone making a big fuss saying this is fake. He got hit in the jaw and fell. Nothing fake about it.

I don't really know shit about MMA, other than I know I like watching it and it kicks a bunch of ass. However, I always thought that Lesnar vs. Kimbo would be bad as hell, though Lesnar would eat his lunch and then pin him up to the side of the ring by his ankles and break every rib with jab after jab.
