WWE Hall of Famer Adam "Edge" Copeland, who's WWE contract expires at the end of his week
has been removed from the Misc. list of WWE's internal roster, PWInsider.com has learned.
Edge is still listed on WWE.com's roster but internally is no longer listed with the company. He wrestled what was publicly discussed as the last match on his WWE contract in August against Sheamus on Smackdown in Copeland's hometown of Toronto but had since blown off the idea that he was leaving the company, citing that he had a new contract extension waiting for him if he chose to sign it.
PWInsider.com reported earlier this month that Copeland had been removed from WWE's internal roster. Hours later, he was added back, but on the company's misc. list, which features talents who are injured currently (such as Braun Strowman) or talents who aren't part of the regular roster but have a connection to WWE, such as Steve Austin. Copeland is no longer listed.
The belief is that as of 10/1, he is free and clear to sign elsewhere and there has been AEW interest in him dating back to 2019, which led to WWE eventually clearing him to return to the ring at the 2020 Royal Rumble in one of the best moments of that year. We should see shortly what the future holds for the WWE Hall of Famer.
