Anyone else watch ECW? I mean, before it merged with WWE......If not, I would recommend finding videos and enjoying the show, so much violent goodness. My favorite wrestler was Kid Kash hahahaha. Favorite kind of matches were any that involved barbed wire.

Nice to see another Kid Kash fan. Assholes that are great wrestlers take matches seriously. It's also why I am a huge Low Ki fan.

Overall, my favorite shit in ECW would probably be the series of matches between Malenko/Guerrero but that's just the kind of stuff I prefer. It sure was a fun alternative product though.

New Jack was my shit.

Only drawback was their opening matches always just being thrown together clusterfucks.

And pushing Shane Douglas.

ECW was very good from 1995-1998 but once all of their top stars left it fell off a cliff.

That's not to say I didn't like ECW before or after though.

Yeah that's kinda how I feel. They still put on some trash shows during their best times, but atmosphere and stories made you feel like you were watching something way better. Plus Hardcore TV followed a great format.

I think it was Jim Cornette that said ECW’s biggest impact of the business was that it helped spark the change from the wrestlers working together to work the crowd into thinking they were actually hurting each other to the crowds working the wrestlers into actually hurting each other to get a reaction.

It was fine for what it was. They had some over guys but I think it’s looked at with rose colored glasses.

Cornette isn't wrong about that.

Paul Heyman owes me alot of hours of sleep for all the times I waited till nearly midnight to see ECW every week. You would see ads for ECW that night and I'll be ready to watch being a young kid and so many times it would be a different Show entirely. Still I love ECW to death being a fan of Phila sports it felt like my hometown promotion sorta like ECWA later for me to where I got to see so many guys come up like Ciampa. It just sucks I don't have the WWE Network because I would for sure watch every PPV and Hardcore TV and relive those great days.

WWE Network is cheap...

For a person living in a Motel and it's week to week with what I make that price tag feels like a Million Bucks:lol

I saw some here and there. I never truly followed it as a child. I did have old ECW games. I watched some on the network. Stuff is a clusterfuck.

I went through a stretch a few years ago of being an old school ECW mark. They really did do some great things. To this day, any ECW match with Rey Mysterio, Psychosis, Chris Jericho, Dean Malenko, Tajiri or Chris Benoit is a surefire watch for me. Then you've got Taz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow, Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka, RVD vs. Jerry Lynn... some fucking legendary rivalries and matches there. And lost but not least, some of my favorite all time characters like impersonator Stevie Richards, King of Old School Steve Corino, Taz, The Dudley Boyz and of course the GOAT Raven. Lots of shit to wade through, especially through 2019 goggles, but man is there some awesome content.

Shane Douglas was one of my favorites to watch, and my favorite "big name" to meet. I got to meet him while working a show in WV back in October. So kind and gracious. Took the time to talk to me and ask what my name was. Anyone that shit talks him can lick my balls and suckle on my butthole.

Jerry F'N Lynn was great at the time, but I thought he had better in ROH. Still, him and RVD (the only match anyone will say, because they didn't really watch ECW) are fun matches to go back and watch.

Raven was a great story teller. The fact that him and Sandman almost drove Angle out of the biz is crazy.

I watched so much of Corino it was insane. He's probably top five for me of all time. He was so cocky, and his match with Dusty ruled. The Old School Style 4 Lyfe.
