So you could consider moving away from home to do it? Ring of Honor runs a school in Philadelphia. Same place that Punk and Daniel Bryan trained at and also ran at various times (not at the same time though).

Truth Martini runs a highly rated school in Detroit as well which comes highly recommended and they also help you get bookings once the 12 week course is over.

New York City Wrestling is also said to be good.

Punk trained with Ace Steel in Chicago bro, he ran the school at one point as head trainer in 03 or 04 I think, Danielson was trained at HBKs centre also before going to Regal, neither of them can really be considered Alumni as the ROH school IMO.

Then it sadly seems like the only place you can get any kind of training is OSPW. And if you want to make it as a pro wrestler you need REAL training. Because otherwise they won't book you if all you have is backyard wrestling. Even Punk had to get real training before his career could kick off.

But they most likely cultivated their skills there as well as putting their own unique inprint on the way the training is done. Danielson definitely considering how much pull he had in ROH as a founding father. The things I'd do to get trained by Delirious.

Whilst this is true those guys were a lot longer on their developemnt than Gohan would be, ROH's school seems to be more of a finishing touches rather than holy shit how do I bump IMO. It's like a better version of FCW.

But he didn't get where he is because he was a backyard wrestler. He got where he is because he was smart enough to get real training and thus being able to get real bookings. WWE does not look for talent in backyards.

He still went over to the Steal Domain and worked his fingers to the bone to get where he is, all this I can't afford to move out isn't something Punk considered he went for it. You can't compare yourself to him.

Tons of guys who made it spent months if not years sleeping on friends couches or on floors because they put all their money into wrestling.

Yep, even apparent golden spoon guys like Cena worked at least a year for gas money only at best. Punk in IWA especially would have been on nothing and a bit more from ROH. Pro wrestling is the worst industry to get into for 99% of the people but the 1% that makes it is what draws us in, it's the romantic nature of the beast.

Then you move. If you have a dream and can't achieve it where you currently are. Then move to where you can.
