I'm sorry, but if Undertaker is in a title match again. That would totally blow. He's won the title at the last 2 Wrestlemania events and it's pretty damn obvious they aren't going to let him lose. So why put him in another title match?

Randy Orton, Chris Jericho or Triple H I can see winning it.

Or, surprise package, HBK wins it and gives the title shot to JBL.

If Shelton wins I will support Vaan personally bitch slapping everyone that ragged on him. Even though the chances are slim to ahhhh none.

Sounds good.

And then screws him and costs him the Championship at WrestleMania.

^^^^The majority of peeps SO haven't got to grips with this HBK/JBL thing!

@ Vaan1221: Yet again you've stated that you have "reason to beleive" something without stating that reason.... So WHY do you "beleive" Shelton of all people is gonna win the rumble?

Seems most likely to be Orton to me... His alliance with other Legacy guys should serve him well in amongst those 29 hungry dudez.

rofl @ Shelton Benjamin.

And Benjamin not winning has NOTHING to do with backstage politics. It has EVERYTHING to do with the fact that he can't get a reaction from the fans for over a three month period.

How does it have nothing to do with that? Being a casual fan, not knowing anything at all about the behind the scene of professional wrestling, not knowing kayfabe, etc. I started watching wrestling during the end of the 90's I think, and just started getting on forums and wrestling websites during the summer of 08. So in that time frame I learned about the backstage politics of pro wrestling. Being world champ you need to draw, put people in seats, have top of the line matches, sometimes good on the mic. Does a casual fan know that? No. I had no idea what kayfabe was, no idea what drawing meant, what heel and face was, squash matches, jobbers, talent enhancement, nothing.. You cheer the good guy boo the bad guy. And when you win the Rumble, you mainevent WM, you have to be able to draw good in order to do that. Does a casual fan know that... No.

Some examples, when Jeff fought Taker in that Ladder match years, I actually thought Jeff would win it. Others thought Jeff would win it, not knowing backstage politics. If you had known it, you'd known that Taker wasn't going to drop the title Jeff, because he wasn't ready, wouldn't draw, etc. The MitB match, you win, you got a title shot anytime, I've wanted Benjamin to win that many times, but knowing backstage politics, he wont anytime soon because he wouldn't draw good, and has bad mic skills. The casual fans don't know that. Some casual fans like Kung Fu Naki, if he was in that match, they'd want him to win. But knowing backstage politics, we all know that's not going to happen. Again the rumble, everyone wants their favorite wrestler to win it, not knowing backstage politics it's people who'd want guys like Helms, R-Truth, Umaga cause of his size, Kozloff cause he's undefeated, Benjamin as the guy up there said. But knowing backstage politics, we know that's not going to happen, that why mentioning him gets laughs because we know that's not going to happen. Knowing backstage politics, you know that they need somebody who can draw and put on a good WM mainevent. Why are people saying Christian he's not even on the roster, it's because of rumours, why are they saying it was him that attached Hardy, because of backstage rumours, why are people saying before he was injured that it'd be Batista, because they know backstage politics and know that it'd be a good place for Cena/Tista II, good match, good draw, and blah blah. People say was going to be coming back early and win the Rumble, he can't do that, Orton's kick gave him a concusion, and he had surgury (they played video), so how would he be back, it's because peopel thought he'd pull a Cena and come back early, backstage politics again.

That's why I regret finding wrestling sites and forums sometimes because knowing backstage politics, it makes it predictable. But not people around here watch wrestling so being here, I can talk to people who know about it. So it has everything to do with knowing backstage politics.

Who will be the Winner of this years Royal Rumble???

HIS NAME IS...DOLPH ZIG-GLER!!

No but seriously...

I'm thinking either Christian (IDK if he'll be in ) Jericho, Orton, HBK. If either Taker or Triple H wins...I will throw my TV out the window.

To be fair, virtually nothing you have mentioned above equates to politics.

Pretty much all you've effectively said is that BASED ON KAYFAYBE you think the Shelton character should have a good chance of winning...

BUT, do you honestly think he WILL win?

Okay so backstage politics wasn't the right word. Behind the scene, backstage, knowledge of the buisness, I guess It'd be, but you get my drift. The point I'm making is that is does have to do with that knowledge why some laugh at the fact of people wanting him to win/thinking he'll win.

Do I think he'd win, hell no, why, because of my (although little) backstage, behind the scene knowledge of the buisness. Do I want him to win the rumble, win the MitB, have a successful REAL world title reign, yes, why, because he's on of my favorite wrestlers, has been for years. It has nothing to do with Kayfabe for me to want him to win.

^^^I completely understand what you are saying now, but the title of the topic is "Who WILL win the RR?"(*)

(*Not "who do you want to win the RR?" or "who do you think WWE should have win th RR?"... As previously stated, you're initial reply only makes sense if approached from a pure kayfaybe p.o.v.)

Oh well, I'm no big fan of his, but IF Shelton did win, I'd still freak... Would say to me that VKM has grown a pair!

Orton.
It'll probably come down to something like HHH, Orton, Taker and Jericho.
Final two I see Orton/HHH.

Alright I'll put it this way to erase all confusion. I think Orton will win the rumble, he has Legacy (or what will be left of it) on his side, and defeat Cena at WM for Age of Orton to continue again. For the underdog win, I'd say Benjamin for the win.

Orton or Edge will take it this year.

The final four will be Orton, Taker, Edge, and HHH.

Actually i think it will be HBK, to go on with the Fued he is in. Either him or Christian. either way it would be a great win. better then last years at least.
