Since the 90s, lucha and high flying wrestling has seen an influx of interest in the United States and other countries, having been exposed to primarily by World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling, among others. World Wrestling Entertainment has failed to recapture this interest and as their Cruiserweight Championship fades into obscurity, another rises in its place like a phoenix reborn from the ashes... Featuring CMLL's Mistico and Black Warrior, Dragon Gate's CIMA, AAA's Juventud Guerrera, Ring of Honor's Austin Aries, and GCW signees Billy Kidman, Ultimo Dragon, and the returning Gregory Helms, a new Cruiserweight Champion will be crowned at The Big Bang, the premier Pay Pre View that'll usher in a new era of Sports Entertainment. Offering the best of the past, the best of the present, and perhaps the best of the future, who'll be crowned new GCW Cruiserweight Champion, and become the flagship of the division? Only The Big Bang knows, and this Fall, it'll be the harbinger of a new promotion... GC fucking Dubya!​

ANOTHER BIG BANG MATCH ANNOUNCED!

The Big Bang is the premier international Pay Per View, so what better way to celebrate an occasion such as this than with a battle for supremacy, so deemed, War of the Nations. The goal? Take out your opponents and be the pride of your country! Six man will represent their countries in this battle for supremacy; GCW signee, multiple time WWC Champion, and full blooded Puerto Rican superstar Carlito, CMLL's Alex Koslov from Russia, Dos Caras Jr. of CMLL fame hails from Mexico, Milano Collection AT of NJPW from Japan, The American Dragon and former ROH Champion Bryan Danielson, and second generation wrestler and GCW signee Harry Smith claiming to represent both Canada and Britain, this'll no less be a high octane match up with its fair share of surprises and alliances. Which of these nationalists will become Champion of the World, and their country? At The Big Bang, the War of the Nations will commence, and there'll be but one winner...​

ANOTHER BIG BANG MATCH ANNOUNCED!

In less than 24 hours, another Big Bang blockbuster has been announced! Featuring Pro Wrestling NOAH's KENTA and his longtime partner, from Ring of Honor, Naomichi Marufuji, the opposition will be none other than GCW signees, The Burchills; brothers Drew and Paul managed by their sister, Katie Lea, will take on the stiff japanese competition in the hopes of one team becoming GCW Tag Team Champions. KENTA and Naomichi have been Tag Team Champions before, and The Burchills are looking to add Tag Team gold to their resume of British championships. Can the '03 and '04 Tag Team of the Year (KENTA and Naomichi) defeat the sibling tandem of The Burchills, or will the siblings become Champs upon their signing to GC Dubya? It's Japan's finest against some of Britain's potential rising stars. Who will be GCW Tag Team Champions? Check out The Big Bang, coming to the BTB Section this Fall.​

MORE BIG AND BANGIN ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Much like World Wrestling Entertainment's marquee event, Wrestlemania, GCW's The Big Bang will be a four hour long Pay Per View! In a recent press conference, Eric Bischoff, as quoted, "wants to demonstrate to the entire professional wrestling world his vision," and by extending The Big Bang from its initial three hour length to four hours, Eric Bischoff believes he and his associates, being CMLL, AAA, NJPW, Ring of Honor, Dragon Gate, WWC, and Pro Wrestling NOAH, are now allowed more time for matches and entertainment of the highest calibre. Bischoff believes The Big Bang is only the first step in GCW's path to becoming a global powerhouse in the world of professional wrestling, and has been in negotiations with CMLL, AAA, Ring of Honor, NJPW, and Dragon Gate in using their talent in exchange for financing and promoting on an indisclosed basis.

With three matches announced for The Big Bang, what's next for the milestone Pay Per View? Well, sources tell us several other Main Events, one being billed as, 'The First Encounter,' and another being billed as, 'Icon Vs Icon.' Take it what you will, but we're pretty ecstatic as to the possibilities, especially with GCW utilizing talent from international promotions. Not to mention, the names being sprung up are certainly to mark for, if you're familiar; Jushin Liger, Great Muta, Cibernetico, and the original Kenta Kobashi all are being tossed around. Who's to say who will appear, and who'll not? There's also the matter of GCW signees that'll come to light in the next few weeks. Stay tuned, guys, for The Big Bang will be one hell of a ride!​
