The one thing that crosses my mind is "why?". It's so weird that punk would lie about something so easily verifiable. It's no like his other fisherman's tales, where he could just make shit up and we would never be sure if it was true or not.

Yeah more then likely he'll want to choose his oppent and he'll pick a really bad one to try and look good. Would be even more fitting if said chosen oppent made him tap out.

UFC will pick his opponent, but it will have to be someone shitty or else the athletic commission won't sanction the fight. They've already said they aren't going to sanction Punk fighting someone with a lot of MMA experience. If the NSAC sanctioned Punk to fight someone with a lot of experience and they wound up seriously hurting Punk (likely a real possibility) they would be up shit creek.
That's why Green Ranger offered his services. He's 4-0 or something. Also like Punk he's a man child with ridiculous facial hair.

Whether it was a work or not, thought it was clear by now that Punk doesn't really like people.
I've been perusing the story for a few hours now trying to read up on everything and I gotta say the Doc is definitely in the right here.. He should be able to pull this one out against CM Punk or reach a beneficial agreement that goes in the doc's favor.

But yeah - as you said he's not a people person. He's not too smartened up either in certain aspects. I think he's a bit of a mark for himself and that WrestleMania event he feels he deserved.
