Yeah it seems that way, he lost but actually looked strong for once. Del Rio was acting heelish that whole match while Ziggles was gutsy.

This is just good heel work and a funny moment

Yea it was by far ADR's best work as a heel. He really came across as being a ruthless son of a bitch

How was the double turn not good? It was the most epic thing I've seen in WWE since Lesnar's return.

edit: Have you seen the match yet? I feel if you had you wouldn't be saying this nonsense.

No I haven't but that's not my point lol.

The match probably was epic. The turns were probably epic. The performances of both men were probably epic. It's the nights away from Chicago that I worry now. I now have to trust WWE to push Dolph properly, and ADR to actually entertain me...

Great Gif.

That match was quite gifable. The ending w/ DZ putting up his fists before getting the shit kicked out of him was epic

I know I am a bit biased because these are two of my favorites in WWE, but would it be a stretch to call this the MOTY in WWE thus far, considering the amazing story it told and the performance by both guys in their roles?

It's a contender definitely. I still hold Bryan and Rollins from RAW this Monday higher but just like with you and ADR and Dolph those two are my two of my personal favs on the roster. But a contender without a doubt.

The craziest thing about the whole thing was the commentary. They called it straight at first, then put over the concussion, then they gradually changed their opinions. Cole started doing his "this is serious shit" voice that he does very well, JBL moved over to ADR's side... but Lawler really put it over with the line "Man, I've never liked Ziggler, but his heart and never-say-die attitude is making me a believer" or something like that. Congrats Jerry on your first good line in a few years. Nothing was forced and everything was earned.

Makes me wonder if Triple H has more influence or if Vince is getting away from Smackdown again, there's no way in hell Vince OK'ed this. The big thing I saw here was that WWE gets it, finally. They saw the complete lack of interest in ADR and the unwillingness to boo Ziggler and just had them come out and work in their opposite roles. There was a clean finish and ADR came across as an asshole instead of having to use chickenshit tactics to beat an injured opponent, etc. Basically all the stuff WWE does that make us reject characters were completely gone here and both characters actually got over because of it. Will it last? Probably not, but Ziggler should be an over face for a couple of months because of this.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I've never been more interested in AJ Lee because of this. (Still don't like her, just interested) She went from being an absolute bitch earlier in the night (and even earlier in the match) to steadily looking after poor Ziggler and seeing if she's okay. What's next for her? The feud with Kaitlyn must continue, but there's no way she can stay with Dolph (unless they write him off TV) if that feud continues. With Kaitlyn possibly going ultra-psycho herself, and you may have had a double-double turn tonight.

The double double turn seems likely, especially considering Kaitlyn's reaction to losing. I'm not all that interested in it, plus it means AJ is probably staying with Ziggler, What would that mean for Big E as well?

I just want a clean and immediate break for Ziggler from those two.

big E did handle it well as well. He didn't rush ADR, he got in the way when he noticed him targeting his friends head. And only struck when being struck back. And an eventual break from Dolph is easier to do if they both are faces. Since he can just say "You, I've got a shot at the US title and I was thinking of taking it. Call me if you ever need help" or something like that.

ADR looked pretty dirty in this match, Honestly that's the kinda heel we need. Im not mad Dolph lost the belt, this reign was doing nothing but making him look worst. Him losing the belt was fine by me.

They can break up to be "just friends" as well. Two faces breaking off doesn't need the drama two heels splitting would require.

Can't see WWE doing it that way

I'm not sure if the initial plan was to have the double turn, but the crowd was clearly cheering on ziggler/booing Rio, and they went with it. :notsure: if it was on purpose but it worked out beautifully.
