WWF World Champion: Randy Savage-27/3/88
WWF Intercontinental Champion: Honky Tonk Man-13/6/87
WWF Tag Team Champions: Demolition-27/3/88

WWF Superstars of Wrestling
May 28th, 1988
Duluth, MN

File is only 33 minutes, so something is missing sadly.

Match#1 Jake Roberts vs Barry Horowitz
Another very good 90 seconds for Jake as this seems to be his new time limit, and Barry at least can make that work better than anyone else. Jake wins with the DDT.
*1/2

Post match, Barry meets Damien for the 50th time.

WWF Update-
-Lord Alfred covers the Ken/Bravo tug of war.

Match#2 Bad News Brown vs Mike Richards
News gets shorted at a little over a minute in a lame call. He rips the kids head off in brutal and awesome fashion as quickly as he can, but i wish it was longer. News has a cut in saying 19 spiders couldn't stop him at Mania, so there's no way two guys in pretty pink will stop his reign of terror. He wins with the Blaster.
*1/4

The Anvil enjoys an Ice Cream Bar.

Match#3 Strike Force vs Rick Renslow & Dave Wagner
The fellas get 3 minutes as they won the coin toss i guess, and it's a killer, killer outing of the best kind. Martel destroys an arm and blasts people as fast as he can, and Tito is a timeless all timer that does everything as perfectly as he can. The Rougeau's have a cut in asking for a clean match with the former champions!!!! Tito takes the win with his Forearm.
**

WWF Events Center-
-Hacksaw has his sight set on Andre's nasty forehead. He knows Andre doesn't know what kind of man he is, well he's someone who will never stop coming and getting up and he will not and can't give up. TOUGH GUY.
-Demo are in for a good fight because they hurt them when they hit them, and they want this. Ax says Warrior is going to be an ultimate idiot who is in a war with Strike Force in the middle of it.

Match#4 Honky Tonk Man w/Jimmy Hart vs Brady Boone
Jesse says Brutus had it coming after Mania IV, and he laughs about Honky hitting him. Good squash for Honky as he's does what he does best with good looking strikes and fun stooging and stalling. HTM has a cut in saying the tune he played on Brutus wasn't quite right, but it is getting better. Honky wins with the SRR.
*3/4

WWF Events Center-
-Warrior says he comes from a place where they fall at his feet, and he's going to destroy them. SF repeat their last promo.
-Bret says he's got 30 minutes to finish the job. He's fought his entire life as well, and he's the greatest techincal wrestler in the world. He's one person he should have never double crossed, and he's going down the hard way.

Match#5 Junkyard Dog vs Tim Patterson.
THUMP AND FUCK OFF

Stage Interview-
-Ted & Virgil are the guests.
-Craig says he's been using Virgil to help him, and Ted says he doesn't want to hear his biased WWF opinion. Randy was manhandled by his bodyguard and beaten pillar to post. The only time he got involved was when the referee wasn't doing his job, or Elizabeth was sticking her nose into it.
-Craig asks what kind of man would hide behind a woman, and Ted says he would do whatever he needs anything to intimidate him, and if that means grabbing her than he will do it. She means nothing to him as she's a woman in a man's sport, and she can go back to the kitchen if she can't take the heat.
-Randy choked on his money and it won't be bill next time, it will be his fist, He won't have money. glory or Elizabeth, When the money and glory go, you lose the women. He's never lost a woman because he's always had what they wanted, and maybe Elizabeth will be the million dollar woman when this is over.

WWF Tag Team Champions: Demolition-27/3/88

WWF Wrestling Challenge
May 29th, 1988
Rochester, MN

Match#1 Rick Rude w/Bobby Heenan vs Jim Evans

Rude gets 90 to work and goes right to it with a great beating of the kid, He's now got this wonderful snap on everything he hits, and it's a sweet thing to get to see it unfold in real time. He wins with the RA.
*3/4

Post match, he kisses another woman.

WWF Special Report-
-Sean covers the attack on Brutus.

Match#2 Bret Hart vs Pete Sanchez
Bret gets 2 minutes and rocks the joint one again. I know he's one of the best ever, but it's still mind blowing to see how easy he became a singles guy in the matter of weeks when the push happened. Jimmy Hart has a cut in saying there's some problems right now with HF, but they'll get them worked out so don't panic. Heenan does an amazing job of siding with Jimmy and blaming Bret, and it's one of those moments where you remember how vital he truly is. Bret wins with the Piledriver.
**

WWF Events Center-
-Bobby says Hacksaw is a run of the mill redneck bum, and Andre is going to show him a different way of things. Andre again promises to choke him because he loves to choke people, and he will laugh as he does it.
-Duggan says he has dreams and Andre tried to take them away, so he's not backing from him or this fight. He's going to show him something he's never seen before, a man whose not afraid of him.

Match#3 Ron Bass vs Ricky Ataki
Bass is still a good squash guy even if the JYD feud has show he's sort of a lazy bum when it actually counts. He wins with his pedigree after a fun squash.
*

Match#4 The Ultimate Warrior vs Terry Gibbs

Much better squash as he only does power stuff and chucking Gibbs around, and it's what he does best so sticking to that is the answer. Lombardi has a cut in saying Warrior is dangerous and can't be stopped. Warrior wins with the combo
*3/4

WWF Events Center-
-Jake says the devil himself would tell him that Rude committed no crime, but it was the ultimate sin for him touching something that's not his.

Match#5 Greg Valentine w/Jimmy Hart vs Mike Richards
Another sick one for Greg clobbering and smashing this poor, poor bastard. Heenan and Gorilla talk about all the knees that Hammer has ruined since he got here, and it's amazing to hear it all again. They gave a cut in showing Jimmy putting the shin protector on as Jimmy says it's there road to the gold. Gorilla doubts he's hurt as he heard nothing, and Bobby says he could have a cut on his shin for all we know. Hammer batters the kid and kills the knee, and locks in the Figure Four with the Protector to win.
**

Stage Interview-
-Hillbilly Jim shows up to call people hillbillies and promote being on a local show.
-Nice use of my time.

They replay Randy/Virgil in full along with the aftermath.

Match#6 The Bolsheviks w/Slick vs Buck Zumhoff & Warren Bianchi
Son of a bitch, no. Only 90 seconds thankfully, but you can feel every microsecond as these fat terrible jokers move at a snails pace as they do the worst looking offence possible. Nik beats one of these scumbags with a backbreaker.
POOP

WWF Events Center-
-Dino says Ken and his records are the past while he's the present.

Rick Rude & Andre The Giant w/Bobby Heenan vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Jake Roberts (31/5)
Not sure what show this took place on as Tony Schiavone is on commentary a year before his debut, so if anyone knows please tell me. Andre chokes Hacksaw as promised as he jerks his head back and forth in a gross, gross way. Rude helps to beat the shit out of him, but he misses a knee and the faces go on a flurry knocking the piss out of them. Andre gets tied in the ropes, and the face pick Rude up and ram his head into Andre chest!!! Rude gets beaten, but Andre gets free and knocks Jake to the ground with a headbutt so the heels can isolate him in a super fun control seg. Andre uses his singlet to choke Jake like a big bully, and Rude lays in a ton of wicked looking shots. Jake survives the fight, and Hacksaw crotches Rude on the topes to get some breathing space for Jake. Duggan finally tags in and goes nuts as hell on them, but Andre knees him in the face to stop him in his tracks. Rude beats on him for a while again until Jake is able to punch him in the face and tag in as it all breaks down as it tends to. Rude has Jake set up for the RA, but Hacksaw hits him in the ribs and Jake falls on top to get the win.

File is again 31 minutes, and apparently we're missing a Rude squash and the update. Not a great loss, but still annoying.

Match#1 The Bolsheviks vs Billy Bowman & Ricky Ataki
Of course this couldn't be missing because my promise to watch everything until i can't take anymore is truly being tested. Two terrible minutes from them as is the norm. Just fire them and move the fuck on from this dead act. Nik wins with his bad backbreaker.
1/9*

Match#2 The Ultimate Warrior vs Steve Lombardi

Guess Warrior heard what Steve said about him on Challenge and wants to kill him now. He's doing better again focusing on being violent and rough, and cutting down on the horrible punches. Lombardi eats tons of shit of course, and that's the best. Warrior wins with the Combo.
*1/2

WWF Events Center-
-Bobby & Andre don't say or add anything new as it's been a month of these promos now.
-Bammer says he can hear the Gods and he doesn't care about that. He thinks about what he's going to do to Hercules and the missing link of the chain after he burns him.

Match#3 Ted DiBiase w/Virgil vs Buck Zumhoff
Short one for Ted at 90 seconds, but he's still stiffing the shit out of a scumfuck for the entire thing, so it rules for that alone. HE BOOTS HIM RIGHT IN THE FACE. FUCK YEAH, TED. He keeps killing him and wins with the MDD.
*3/4

Post match, he shoves money down the assholes throat. Shame he didn't choke to death.

WWF Events Center-
-Ted says Randy cant slide out to run away or get help from Elizabeth this time. Don't forget she's out there with Virgil hahahahahahaha. All he needs to do is put the MDD on and put him to sleep and climb out to get his title.
-News says he could have beaten Bret in 30 seconds, but he wanted to make him pay. He's got an extra 10 minutes to enjoy before he finally finishes him off.

Eat and buy the Ice Cream Bar.

Match#4 Dino Bravo w/Frenchy Martin vs Frankie DeFalco
Stupid Dino does stupid bad wrestling for 90 seconds. Stupid power moves and stupid offence before winning with his stupid Sidewalk Slam.
STUPID

Stage Interview-
-The Fabulous Rougeau's are here!!
-Raymond talks about how much they love America, and Jaques tells him to say it was fabulous each time he praises it in a great bit. Ray mentions some sights they've seen such as Washington Memorial and the Lincoln Monument, and Vince is not happy, and neither is the crowd as the boo the hell out of him for messing the names up. he says there's still 15-20% of fans booing them, and he thinks it's because of Dino, and he assures them they have nothing to do with him. Jaques says they're sincere and he brings out the tiny American flags and calls them fabulous, speaks French and then leads a USA chant. This is SO good.

Match#5 Brutus Beefcake vs Tony Stone
This is not good at all as Brutus is the worst ever. He wins with a sleeper after another bad squash.
1/3*

Post match, he cuts the kids hair.

Match#6 Greg Valentine w/Jimmy Hart vs J.T Thomas
Greg is finally given 3 minutes and holy crap is it a mean and fantastic ass kicking and then some as he fucking kills the poor kids body. Just a barrage of cool and gross stuff from the Hammer. He puts on the shin locked Figure Four to win.
**

Post match, the jobber is helped to the back as he can't stand on his own.

Next week. Demolition vs Young Stallions

WWF Boston Gardens-4/6

Match#1 Don Muraco vs One Man Gang
They trade big punches to start and both men look really good throwing haymakers Don trips him and goes after the legs and does some fine work, but still lazy as he's clearly aware he's not staying for long. Gang's selling is good stuff for a guy never tasked with such a thing, and he fights like a turtle on its back trying to get back up and it's a cool way to do it. Gang gets back up and smashes him with forearms and sells the hell of his bad knee while doing it!! OMG keeps beating on him and works a bearhug for a while, and it's good as he looks like he's truly trying to crush him instead of being lazy about it. Don fights out and whiffs on a dropkick to send OMG backwards into the buckle as he got nothing but air on it. They eventually fight on the outside and OMG misses a charge and knocks himself out on the post and is counted out.
*3/4

OMG attacks him for a while, but Don drives him away and celebrates with SBG on commentary. Haven't mentioned that, but he's doing commentary for live events and stinks at it.

In the back, News shits on Boston's sports teams, and says Bret has nothing for brains as one man can win a battle royal, so how did he think they would share it? He's going down tonight because no man in fruit pink is beating a real man in black.

Match#2 Bad News Brown vs Bret Hart
Bret unloads with a mule kick and rams him his head into the buckles and beats the crap out of him, and angry Bret Hart absolutely rules. New's gets cracked and sells his ass off as he takes some big bumps and runs away like a coward. He gets Hart to chase him and catches him with a knee to the head under the ropes, and he reigns down a killer beating with headbutts and awesome strikes. He's just a mean motherfucker for the entire thing, and Bret takes a wicked belting as he shows off the soon to be famous selling that only a few people have ever done as well as him. News really shows off as he's dropping gross running elbows to the head and body, and getting as dirty as he can. News slingshots him throat first into the bottom rope to mess him, and he gets more violent after. He goes for the Blaster, but Bret ducks it and makes a sweet comeback throwing him into the buckles and into the floor and then hitting a sick plancha. New tries to punch him, but he misses and hits the post to hurt his hand.
Bret stays on him and does all his cool offence but he can't put him away, and it turns into a gritty back and forth. Bret gets a victory roll, but News reverses it and gets the tights to steal it. Borderline, but i dug a lot, so fuck it.
***

Match#3 Bam Bam Bigelow vs Hercules
Happy to see Bammer finally get to do something new after being without a proper feud since the OMG sort of ended. Hercules stinks, but new is new and i'm here for it. BBB overpowers him and does carthwheels to show off, and Hercules is at a complete loss at how to deal with him. Bammer drops him with some looping hooks and thows him around with ease, and it's a wild display of power to do it against a guy as big as Herc. He finally misses a splash into the corner and gets dropped by Herc with a running shoulderblock. Fine control seg from Hercules as he keeps simple and basic, and Bammer rocks at punch drunk wobbly selling and massive face plants when he gets hit and falls right down. Bammer catches him running at him and hot shots him and hits the Slingshot Splash right away to win.
**

In the back, Rude says Jake is going to pay for all he's done to him, and he's a loser like everyone is Boston. Jake snapped because he knew his woman wanted him. He blows a kiss to end it.

Match#4 Rick Rude vs Jake Roberts
Jake jumps him as he's taking his robe off and goes on another wonderful flurry of angry offence beating this bastard pillar to post with all he's got. Rude runs for it the moment he gets free and uses Damien to once again distract Jake to take over with punches to the head and neck. He works a sleeper for a while in a super tight one, and it's good but i wanted more from what should be a blood feud. He does let go and beat him up with more brawling and hard shots, but i wish it was longer in spite of how good it is. Jake fights back and whips his ass again in awesome form, and Rude shows off his ever increasing killer selling and bumping. They fight on the outside and it goes to a double counout in a lame call.
**

Post match, they fight until Jake gets Damien out and scares him off.

Match#5 Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Andre The Giant
Andre stalls for FIVE minutes in one of the funniest things i've ever seen. He refuses to get in and argues with everyone he can find, and calls Duggan and idiot while looking angry and confused as to why he's being forced to fight him. It's like the 2x4 shot broke his brain and he's forgotten why this is a thing, and that might be the best part. Duggan joins in and swings his board at the refs ass and marches around with a big dumb smile. Andre finally gets in and gets laraited into the ropes and is stuck there so Hack can kick him and beat him up. Andre gets free and squashes him into the corner and beats his ass with amazing clubs and knees, and Hack is sent flying all over the place as Andre gets more brutal as it goes on. Hack tries to fight back but Andre catches him with a boot to knock him out and pins him with his foot on the ropes to win.
PRO WRESTLING

In the back, Demo promise to make everyone suffer because Fuji has demanded it.

Match#6 Strike Force & The Ultimate Warrior vs Demolition & Mr Fuji
Fuji tries to fight and gets killed like a complete fool out of his element, and it's incredible watching the fella kill him. Warrior gets in and fights and does very well as Demo guide him through it with hard and great looking strikes, which in turn get Warrior to throw good looking ones back to his credit; Demo beat him down with the double teaming and throw him around for a bit. It breaks down and Warrior hits a truly bad looking lariat to knock Fuji out, and the old man is taken to the back to make it 3-2 with the faces being in control in a dumb call. Demo now fight from underneath and beat the shit out of Tito like real heroes, and they have to keep tagging out to fight 3 men. They beat him down with the clubs and sledges, and it all rocks as always because this is the best in ring feud next to Savage/Ted. Martel tags in and sets them ablaze wirh another tremendous hot. Things break down and Warrior pins Ax with a top rope axe handle of all things.
