Longtime TNA employee Don West has given notice that he's leaving the company, according to PWInsider.com.

West had been with the company since it was founded in 2002 and served as a lead announcer along with Mike Tenay until he was replaced by Taz. He has also been the head of TNA's merchandise department since 2009, a role West was so good at that TNA sources have said will be nearly impossible to find somebody to fill his shoes.

West, who first got national television exposure as the zany pitchman for the Shop At Home network, brought his unique brand of sales skills on the road with TNA, where he'd set up a merchandise table inside the ring and other unique offers.
Shame it's not that awful piece of shit Tenay that is leaving, the guy is fucking horrible and even Taz for that matter, I used to really like him on SmackDown and was rather dissapointed he left.

Don West and Mike Tenay need to be on commentary together, I felt they both complimented each other really well. Oh well, perhaps he's off to pursue new dreams, I wish he would have gone back to being a manager kind of thing for Red, he was pretty good at that.

He's a better salesman than wrestling personality so I hope HSN or OVC picks him up.

I've seen the videos on their youtube channel where he's trying to sell TNA merch and I must say he's pretty damn good and very enthusiastic with it. Shame that TNA don't have him anymore but I don't really care about them. Here's the reason for him leaving:

West has been offered a General Manager position of the Wenatchee Wild, an NAHL Junior Hockey League team in Wenatchee, Washington. West is said to not have had any problems with TNA over his decision and will be leaving on very good terms.

Was going to throw this into the "and not a fuck was given" section.

The pitchmen couldn't even sell TNA to anybody.

I remember his "heel turn", my god that was awful :lmao

During that time I remember thinking that TNA couldn't possibly do something that awful again... and boy they fucking showed me.

He had a good run with TNA, never really thought that he would leave the company although he probably was disappointed when he was dumped as a commentator. From all reports was key in increasing merchandise sales so it will be tough for TNA to replace him.
