I think wrestlers not kayfabing on social media sucks, but I know that's a me thing and it's unreasonable to expect them to not behave like normal humans. But I also don't give a fuck about these people's personal lives, and a lot of them make themselves look dumb and get worked by "sheets" and trolls, so it truly has no positive aspects for me on a personal level.

my favorite thing is when there's a report, a wrestler gets all puffy on X to deny it, immediately turns out to be true and they never say anything again about it :heston

idk why wrestlers just dont have a private personal account and in character account though, feels like that would be the smart thing

Yeah on the actual shows I'd rather you not break kayfabe, that includes worked shoots that can't be explained in any way other than "this is a fixed sport" but a lot actually get that label when they're easily explainable in kayfabe, fans just think they're supposed to hate all worked shoots bc of Russo.

On social media I give bonus points if they keep it up, it's an extension of the product if they're continuing it there, but it's completely optional and I don't care if people don't

On social media I don't mind it but on the actual show I hate it.

like I might be remembering this wrong but they mentioned dom's wedding on RAW when he's with Rhea. just dumb.
This is exactly how I feel. Pro wrestling is the same as any other TV show.

Kayfabe died when the dirt sheets started reporting everything that happened outside of the ring.

My main problem is when people try to do worked shoots on social media. If there's not a clear delineation between what is kayfabe and what isn't it just feels exploitative (example: the whole thing with Brooks Jensen's shoot GF selling the angle)

To an extent it does matter

Back in 2017, Roman and Strowman were in the middle of a blood feud.

But they posted a pic of themselves together at Disney World.

I know it’s not real but at least put some effort in
Yeah, this is very much in line with what I said.

Like, I can't expect Dom to not post photos with his wife, or with Rhea not to post photos with Buddy, and Buddy not to post them with her, like that's just to much to honestly ask for.

But if you're in a blood feud with someone, then yeah like it's not that much to ask to be like "hey, don't do that." :lol

I do like the idea that Jeff said, have your personal socials, but then your in character ones as well, so you can still post those things, and share those things, but then fans can have access to who you are on screen. It's a nice mix of both.

Acting like people should still be in character when they're off the clock is stupid.......it's insulting to people's intelligence, and too bad some old fucks on podcasts think the rest of rassling fans were as stupid as the hicks they were targeting.

You want kayfabe. Watch reality shows.
