Seriously. This guy has been in TNA for years now. He always is there but never really does much. His "huge heel turn" on Mar. 8th wasn't really that impactful and his role on Team Flair isn't as big as TNA is making it out to be. I know he is a legend, one of the greatest, but does anyone enjoy watching Sting anymore? I find him rather boring in TNA, always did. His character was just not interesting enough. Maybe if I started watching Sting in WCW I would get into him alot more, but I saw Sting for the first time in 2006 when he first came to TNA and wasn't impressed then and still not impressed now. The best thing I probably saw him do was his feud with Foley at Lockdown, for some reason I thought that was great. Way better than his feuds with AJ or Joe around BFG.

Yes. He's one of my favorite wrestlers in TNA. Since he came to TNA he actually got boosted up to my top 20 all time favorite wrestlers. I suppose it helps that I watched him in WCW and I've seen a bit of his NWA work.

He hasn't wrestled a match that I would say I really enjoyed in god knows how long, he is seemingly reluctant to be involved in certain storylines, he seems disconnected from the product and shows up once every three months, and he gets paid a lot by TNA standards. I really wouldn't mind if he fucked off.

I like heel Sting and was probably one of the few people who laughed whe he beat RVD with a bat and ruined his debut. At the same time however, I agree with BKB that he could fuck off any time he wanted to and I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I mean lets face it. It's only a matter of time before we get indecisive Sting again and another 6 months of him hiding in the rafters trying to 'find himself'. I'm not sure I can take much more of that

Ever since he started sandbagging wrestlers I lost interest.

Good thread for discussion. I actually lost interset in Sting in 1996. I know the crow sting was cool back then for a few years, but he's need to transform into something else. It's like he's stuck in a time warp and has never really done anything all that great in TNA. I was a fan of the early 90's stinger with the short blond hair and some intensity when he wrestled. All things considered, he is older now...but his character needs to grow with him.

Didn't Sting just go from a heelish face in MEM, to a face....only to become a heel? WTF Personally i hate the heel sting. He's a good face. I'd like to see him in WWE for small run before his career is over.

Sting in WWE is an awful idea. It's completely against everything that the WWE are trying to achieve at the moment. He wouldn't fit in. Sting heel is so stupid, because everyone knows that he WILL turn face right at the last minute and take all the glory for the face team. Happens all the time.

Sting can actually fuck off, please. He sucks and his wages can be used on far, far more important things.

I didn't say it was a good idea, i said I'd like to see it.

And as far as getting the younger guys over in the WWE....you do need veterns to help, and the WWE is lacking veterns. With that being said, i feel Sting is old as dirt, and really can't help much there if he's only coming in for a few dream fueds.

Why would you like yo see him there? Because he IS Sting. I hate that. So much. It's as if people think it'd be awesome and epic if Sting was in WWE, just because he's probably the biggest star not to wrestle there. He wouldn't fit in and never will. Period.

Sting was always a favorite of mine when I was younger so there's always been some form of Sting love there for me. His role in TNA has been all around iffy though. There's been so many rumors of Sting wanting out of wrestling for years now and it seems they always manage to suck him back in with another pay check. A lot of what he does seems phoned in and rather reluctant at times. He's almost like TNA's Undertaker to some extent. Hardly ever there on a full time schedule but at some point every young talent needs to job out to him... and is also probably the number one vessel for putting over their younger talent.
When he wants he can still put on a great match. Although in general it's a horrible idea and never happened for a reason, I've always wanted to see Sting in WWE... at least for a one off feud. He's one of the only legends that has eluded Vince's grasp. Although Sting was king to WCW's crowds I've always wanted to see what kind of reaction he'd be met with in WWE.

If only they'd actually job him out to some young talent.

Meh, he's not really up there on my list of favorite wrestlers. He could leave now and I wouldn't even notice or care. I didn't watch WCW or NWA so I don't know much about him pre-TNA besides watching dvd's and youtube. His heel turn was pretty cool though. I'm actually liking that character.

The only real chance Sting would have had to fit into the WWE was right after WCW closed. He could have joined DDP, the NWO, Booker T, and all of them. That was the only real chance guys like that could have to try and get their spot in WWE and have it make sense. Sting going to WWE now? Hell no. That would just be the most awkward sight in wrestling history. WWE is so past bringing in headliners from other companies. Except Goldberg, but no one actually knows if he will wrestle. Sting would have no spot on the current WWE roster, but not like he has a spot on the TNA roster.

TNA praises the hell out of him for what? Wrestling about 5-7 matches a year? He bulldozed Samoa Joe in 2008 and that was definitely the start of Samoa Joe's downfall. He didn't push Samoa Joe. If he successfully pushed Samoa Joe he would have never had to resort to becoming the Nation of Violence, never would have joined the Main Event Mafia, and never would have gotten abducted never to heard from again. Great job Sting, you did a great job there.
