For instance, some wrestling fans on the internet trashed on Kenny Omega for his match with a 9 year-old Japanese girl(Haruka) at DDT Wrestling because it supposedly kills the "sport" feel or credibility of pro wrestling as an industry, when this match was never meant to be taken seriously to begin with, lol

Then you also have idiots who legit thought that match was a real fight with Kenny actually hurting the girl, had Kenny Omega receive a lot of death threats for it.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's annoying for a wrestling organization that's intended to be a serious sports competitive-like organization, to be constantly booking matches like these but if it's an organization like DDT Wrestling where they intend to be a parody of WWE and comedic sports entertainment, then I don't see the problem here.

Some wrestling fans need to take a chill pill and stop taking everything about wrestling so seriously all the time.

Oooh yeah.. I've come across some pretty Hard Core fans. They can be abit scary at times. I try to avoid them at all costs. Lol

I think it is more a case of "Gatekeeping" rather than just someone being hardcore a fan of something. Gatekeeping is essentially telling someone they shouldn't like what they like and that how they like something is the way it is meant to be.

You know...I think originally I was taking pro wrestling too seriously.

I think I was getting too invested in the careers of some WWE performers
that were really never going to get anywhere. It honestly felt like my own
investment was constantly being spat on & thrown back in my face.

The tipping point for me was just before Survivor Series 2018 when Becky
was injured during the RAW invasion by Nia Jax. I was disappointed for
Becky & I realized the WWE had been nothing but a constant string of
disappointments for me personally for a while...and that I just needed to
stop watching the WWE main roster.

The treatment of Sasha Banks, Rusev, Luke Harper, The Revival, Asuka,
Kairi Sane, Bobby Roode, Nakamura, Ember Moon...the list just goes on
& on...

So many talented performers have & are being treated like shit...and even
when they manage to get themselves over...it is quickly taken away from
them because its not "Part of the Plan"

I mean I think this clip sums up everything I hate about the WWE...

I mean to me...that's just sickening...

Honestly...if I was Rusev I would have walked right then & there...

I want to be invested in the entertainment I watch...but the WWE just seems
like too much of an effort...especially when other wrestling fans turn around &
laugh at you for even trying to have any investment.

I don't know...

I try not to take anything too serious around here anymore...mainly because
it just seems like its setting yourself up for disappointment.

I have to honest & say its mainly the actual members & the AEW keeping me here...
and while I know I'm not the most likeable guy...I can honestly say this a very cool
community...or online family to be a part of.

The whole fan vs hardcore fan is lost on me. You are either a fan of something or you are not. Some people are just more invested in being fans than others.

It’s not the problem that they are taking it too seriously but them more appreciating promos, segments, entrances etc more than actual pro wrestling matches. Subjectively that’s what I find annoying the most. I swear some of the guys are looking at wrestling like it’s some reality show or a sitcom.
