Dijak’s WWE Contract Reportedly Expires This Summer

The disconnect thing shouldn't even be valid in this case since HHH had him in the Black & Gold era so he knew what he was about. It's a very strange situation though because i'm gonna assume HHH actually wanted him on the main otherwise why not just let his deal run out in NXT? As far as them not negotiating with him, more details on that will be key because we know how badly the contracts have been handled for a while now.

Yeah fair I more meant the disconnect was whoever told him he was getting the NXT title shot was under a different impression since he was then drafted instead, it tells me more of those draftees may not have been exactly planned which is what would happen to HHH when he ran NXT too

But as far as there being a disconnect between how the bookers viewed him, yeah I wouldn't have expected that

I didn't think it was too weird because of it being known about his deal expiring for months now. I assumed they were working on a new deal and once that got signed he would slot in on TV.

That being said, it does appear that Dijak will be re-signing with WWE according to Brennan. The two sides are still talking and a deal is expected to be reached. It is noted that Dijak did have outside interest, but sources from AEW reveal that they expect Dijak to remain with WWE. Dijak’s social media antics have also drawn him praise from management backstage.​

Just re-quoting this back from May that I posted. Corey Brennan usually seems spot on for NXT information so for him to say this and then outside sources saying they expect him to stay seems like quite the turn around given what Dijak has said.

I think Dijak should be a top guy but he maybe entering Brian Cage & Lance Archer category now. Which is shame love all three. Maybe give him mouthpiece reteam him up with Nana or something.
