People are different. Some are brave enough to face those homophobic people, and some are nurtured in an environment where being gay simply isn't a big deal any more. Addressing Shadow's point on people choosing whether to be gay, I kinda' disagree. Your point on people "turning if they meet the right person" is valid, but I believe they always had it in them to turn, meaning it wasn't their choice that they're attracted to that gender. I don't believe everyone is born gay, though I think some people are, I believe you do not have a choice who you're attracted to. Whether that's born attracted to men, or later in life turning straight to gay, I don't believe you can choose what you're attracted to.

Some people talk themselves out of it and continue to pretend to be straight to try and shift those inner-feelings, but you'll find most of them give up and eventually come out.

Most of those people in the camps have been trained by their Christian parents their whole life to be straight and are sent there when their parents detect any signs of homosexuality. It's not like some gay teen just randomly decides to not be gay anymore and joins a camp to learn not to have natural thoughts and feelings, lmfao.

Shoving their beliefs on others are one of the reasons I dislike the majority of Christians.
