Remember back in 2002-2005 when the World Heavyweight title was actually more prestigious than the WWE Championship!
My stance is that the WWE championship was more prestigious based on match quality alone, during that particular time period.
As much as I really enjoy the belt, it should be gone if it's just the WWE World Heavyweight championship. One championship belt for one championship. The big gold obviously has to go since it's a older belt, and the other is still new. I have no problem with letting it go, even if it is one of my favorite belt designs of all time.
Lesnar told TMZ he's not carrying around both titles (implied that he'll carry one), as well as the new logo taking effect tonight, it makes sense to debut the new belt. PWInsider in terms of dirtsheets for the record.
