After watching him tonight on SD, he looked like he really belonged in that ring. Now, Batista isn't the most polished in ring technician in WWE, but he's a true main eventer, and Ted put on a good show with him tonight. How far off does everyone see him being able to main event on his own? 1 year? 2? Could he be ready in time to challenge Undertaker at next years Wrestlemania, or should WWE leave him in legacy for a while after that? Just want thoughts on how far off this young guy is from main eventing...

No, I wasn't impressed. He did nothing to garner heel heat. All he did was go through the wrestling aspect, but he does not ooze character into his wrestling the way Punk, Jericho or HHH does.

^I think we'll come to see that Dibiasi is a natural face over the next year or so, where as Cody is more of a mid-card heel.
We haven't seen anywhere near enough of him yet to judge when he'll be in the main event...or even holding his own in the mid card ranks for that matter. Both of these guys are simply tethered to Orton so where ever he is on the card, they follow.

Dibiasi definately seems like he'll fair much better than Rhoades in the long run though, he's got more of the WWE size and look. But as said... I really expect this guy to be a monstrous face if anything so it doesn't shock me if he doesn't draw much heat.

And just my prediction... the Legacy split will be played much like the Evolution one. With Dibiasi being shunned or starting to back away from Orton's actions with Cody playing Orton's pet for just a little longer. After all, Dibiasi was punted..lol.

I hope you are talking about Batista's split and not Orton's. I would hope the WWE would learn their lesson with the way the Orton split went.

DiBiase is obviously superior to Rhodes. The WWE knows this. Thats why Rhodes is always the one left behind getting his ass kicked. Thats why Dibiase held his own against Batista for 15 mins and Rhodes jobbed to Shane.

The only thing that can hurt Dibiase is that he looks too much like Orton. They even look the same in the ring, especially the manner is which they sell.

I would say that this is a really fair assessment.

No way anyone could say when, if ever, he'll be ready to main event because frankly he's done nothing to showcase himself yet.

He's farther up the totem pole than Cody right now in WWE's eyes, as mentioned before, Cody's usually getting his ass kicked after getting ditched. I don't know how the success will work for him because all we know of him is the bad guy male model minion of Orton. They'll break off eventually, and then we'll get a real look at him (and Cody for that matter).

And just for the record, I actually think Cody is a better performer in all aspects than Ted, his main problem on promos is his lisp.

I really think where he goes depends on where they take Legacy. Right now Legacy is more comparable to La Familia than Evolution and Priceless are more or less repackaged Edge Head lackeys than credible members of a feared stable the way The Walking Muscle Tear and Orton were. They are usually jobbed out to Trips or Shane (who SHOULD NEVER be going over talent) when they should have followed up a proper feud with Cryme Tyme but since the E has lost all faith in tag wrestling it's hard to give these men their proper ring time to help them mature, which is one of the beautiful things about tag work, and they never get much stic time to hone their mic skills and that's another thing hampering their progress. Knowing how stale the WWE booking team is, they'll just probably half ass this entire angle and have Priceless lose to Orton in a 5 minute handicap match on some random Raw and no one will benefit from it at all. It's hard to measure where he'll be in a few years since the E really hasn't had a clue how to make a star since they were forced to in the latte 90s. Nowadays they just pull the triggers really really late on talent that get over by their own means, ala RVD, and Jeff Hardy, and by the time they get the push it's not what it should have been or it;s half assed, or they don't give the talent enough continuity with their push or if they don't keep the pops they get pushed down too fast, just look at Punk from last year's title reign until the MITB this year.

^Well said.

Here is just a random off-topic observation on Pricelss...more so Cody.
These guys have absolutely NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO beat down skills. Watch any clip of them beating down HHH or Shane or what whoever. They look like confused lion cubs playing with a kill. Cody half ass'edy kicks and missed and kinda looks around confused stomping and walking in circles...lol.

OH and BTW....end Legacy. It blows and it's really a waste of talent and an all around horrible failure.

Hey, I'm disappointed to, but ending Legacy would be an awful failure. Tehy just haven't clicked right yet, but blowiong it up now would be a huge mistake. It still has potential. Remember, Evolution lasted 2 and a half years. It started in late 2002, but it didn't hit it's stride until mid 2003. By that count, you have to give legacy until at least mid 2009 before judging it.

I know but there has already been so much room to have them involved in a greater capacity. They could be doing so much more to build them both as individual characters....or even have them involved in their own feud for the tag titles...or just with another tag team for fucks sake. For a while the whole Cena/Cryme Tyme vs. Legacy thing was looking awesome. I understand he was injured midway through the feud but they definately could have picked it back up again.

Yup, as I said, I'm disappointed as well. I feel they have no personality really, especially Cody, and they're just mini Orton clones. I made a thread on it a while back. Their characters haven't really progressed. Another thing is they don't have their own feuds, like Evolution used to, aside from helping Triple H.
But, like I said, as disappointing as it is, I think you overreacted. It isn't great currently, but hopefully they pick it up, but they need mroe time. Ending it right now would be the worst possible move.

A little over reaction...maybe. But there wouldn't be anything wrong with them ending it now if they did so in the right way. With the tag titles not on RAW it would give them something to do.
If they went off the grounds that Orton is a crazy son of a bitch and they didn't want to get caught up in what he was doing..something like that.
I think one main difference of why Evolution was booked so differently is the fact that HHH was far more established as a top heel when the faction started than Orton is now. There was really not much of a need to use the members to build HHH up even further but instead they had more time to focus on their individual accomplishments.
Once Orton picks up the title I'de be shocked to see Priceless not win the tag titles very soon after.

There'd be alot wrong with ending it now. Those two guys have the potential to be big, moreso Ted than Cody, but both could develop into main eventers with the right booking. Ending it now would result is a fucking screwjob of their careers. Again, ending it would be completely awful. It would screw their careers, and all tat while not even letting the stable get goign full blown yet. Honestly, chill out, and let it unfold. It would've been easy to say this about Evolution in early 2003 when it seemed stalled.

I said it once and I'll say it again...
I know it sounds stupid and not of that much importance but I really think that some group entrance music would do A LOT for these guys. Make them seem more unified than just coming out to Orton's music.
I know it's still very early on in the stable but I still almost feel like we barely know these two guys. A little bit of mic time...even to further Orton's cause (since thats what the purpose of the stable is now) would be great.

Another thing that was a bit of a dissapointment to me was I was kind of hoping we'd see a fourth member inserted into the group. With DH Smith, Tyson and Natalya all on ECW it really doesn't seem possible now.
There's always Dibiasi's brother...but god I hope not...he looks EXACTLLY like Ted...it would just be weird.
