Del Rio Wrestles At House Show Last Night; More Event Notes

At the Albany, GA Smackdown house show last night, Alberto Del Rio competed in a very good match with Sheamus. It shocked me considering he's a Raw Superstar and he's been off TV time due to injury.

By the way he looked great last night, there's no reason why he wouldn't be involved at WrestleMania in any way. And the South GA crowd loved Sheamus and Randy Orton the most. They got huge pops.

Good news he is back wrestling and before Mania, considering the report it seems like he is in good shape and especially just coming off injury which is great. I'm guessing he's going to be trying much harder than before to get back to the top spot in the WWE and be much more stiff in the ring as Vince wanted him to. Hopefully he gets some good TV time at Mania this year and a good match/feud but that's unlikely as most signs are pointing towards him probably being on Johnny Aces team in this tag match thing against Teddy, although he put on a phenomenal match with Edge last year.

He has been getting good reactions as of late especially at the Rumble. Does anyone think a face ADR sometime down the line would work?

I knew I should have posted this "news" when you were offline. Him wrestling at a house show really doesn't mean a helluva lot though as we don't know the length of the match or anything.

As far as good reactions I think the only reacting I've seen anyone give him was when he was on raw a few weeks back and that was purely because he was back from an injury.

Good to see him back wrestling, hopefully they ease him back into it to ensure that he will be okay to wrestle at WM. Definitely see him as one of the guys on Johnny Ace's team.

That's what I was thinking Tory. They're easing him back into the fold slowly and having him shake off any ring rust.

The good thing is they don't need to risk him wrestling on television before WM. At House Show he can wrestle easy, slow matches just to get back into the feel of things and it doesn't really matter if he makes a mistake on a house show compared to on an episode of RAW.

Good to hear he's getting back into the ring. He needs to get some serious TV time from now and until Mania. They sure need this man on that card.

Wish they'd kept doing the ricardo stuff while he was off the air. It'd have helped keep him relevant.

They should have had Riccardo come out each week to give us an update on Del Rio and let us know how many weeks were left before he returned. Something similar to the Randy News Network skits that Orton did when he first debuted and was out injured.

I hope to see this guy go back to LIVE wrestling, he was entertaining as hell but I hope he isn't rusty from that long break.
