"The Federal Trade Commission proposed a new rule that would ban employers from imposing noncompetes on their workers, a widespread and often exploitative practice that suppresses wages, hampers innovation, and blocks entrepreneurs from starting new businesses." - FTC

Official Source - Fightful

Would have massive implications on the Wrestling World. From WWE's 90day to AEW's 1 Year Non-Compete.

More like contracts being left to run down and being taken off of TV for the last few months or made into a total jobber.

Or wrestling for one company on Sunday and appearing on another company's show the next night (Lex Luger-1995) or Appearing on a live wrestling show and a different taped show on the same night (Rick Rude-1997).

Interesting... that's gonna be fun... maybe :lol

Honestly, with all the bullshit surrounding WWE contracts (WWE only as an example here), the Non-Compete-Clause is something I understand why it is in there.... and I know it's also a bullshit thing and I do think that myself, at least I get why it exists and even respect that it exists. It dying would be a good thing (and for fans and viewers it's probably exciting as fuck to see it gone), but I also can see it getting messy af in some cases.

I'm probably the only person, who thinks this, but reducing the timeframe, to something like they can only have a max of 14-30 days of Non-Competing set in contracts, might've been better. Maybe? :hmm: Guess we'll see what's gonna happen with this.

This is good news for the wrestlers that contracts expires and can wrestle on a different Indy Company or major.

Just means alot of disgruntled employees can give away trade secrets, which is why the non compete clause was made to begin with.
