EV, I don't agree with the push on the premise that Smark theme and set-up specs as both alignments, but he doesn't do something as scum that would blatantly set him up to be on the firing line down the line, such as talking about theme or set-up spec that would incriminate him. So I don't agree with your push that because he's talking about theme or set-up spec in a way that incriminates him, therefore he must be scum just because he claims he doesn't do it as scum, which by the way, would incriminate him even further.

I've found a situation in a recent game that shows Smark engaging in a discussion about his own character as scum which brings attention towards him which is contradictory to previous there.

Heck, the whole "why would I bring attention to myself as scum by discussing my own character" is a pretty good defence for that situation too come to think of it!

I think your case really just boils down to an instance of WIFOM and one minor contradiction that may or may not have been taken out of context, and that is my opinion. You are free to put a pike in my ass for defending a town lean of mine against what in my opinion is a shaky case.
