While I can honestly agree with your threads sentiment, I wish you had gone into more detail

being a heel commentator is a bad thing now? Jerry Lawler did the same thing during the AE and it was good comedy alongside JR's good play by play. I don't see how it's a problem.

JBL is fine by me :p
Although I do watch the show on mute about 50% of the time so that may have something to do with it.

He's the only bearable commentator of the three imo. Cole and Lawler are so horrible it's funny.

I find the trio to be decent at times just like how Tenay and Taz from TNA have their good moments, with the recent Wyatt encounter on RAW being brilliant. Sometimes JBL says stupid things but mostly in the stupid segments, just like Cole. Lawler, meanwhile... he just sits there and has his one or two lines of "whoa!" or "what a move!" or a terrible joke.

I find JBL way too over-rated by some people as a commentator. He's just as bad as Cole and Lawler in my eyes.

I think he's certainly more bearable than the other two, but I agree he's nothing special nowadays either... especially with unintentional hilarious lines like comparing Eva Marie officiating a Diva's match on Smackdown a couple of weeks ago to Muhammad Ali being the special guest enforcer for the original Wrestlemania main event.

Then again, I barely pay much attention to what the commentators have to say nowadays. They're so boring and uninspiring that I usually just tune out and watch the match while anything they have to say just goes in one ear and out the other. I know this gets said a lot, but they could really do with some new fresh voices and faces on the commentary team. Even replacing just one or two of them would do a great deal.
