I was never that high on Ambrose when The Shield first debuted. Most people seemed to either hate him or think he was the second coming of Austin, but I was somewhere in the middle. Throughout The Shield's run, he never really stood out to me, though I didn't mind him.

Since The Shield split up though, I've been more impressed with him than any of his former teammates. Just the way he carries himself, and how he gets the crowd going has been amazing. He gets some of the loudest pops on every show, and maybe it's just because he's mainly just been attacking Rollins whenever we've seen him, but I've really started to enjoy every time he's on my screen, and I look forward to seeing him. Also, "Is that all you guys got?" was quote of the year, no arguments will be heard.

What are your guys' thoughts on Ambrose since The Shield's split? I know a few people on the site weren't very high on him as well since he debuted.

I'll be honest, when I first heard of this guy, it was because he was in some sort of Twitter work with Mick Foley. All I kept hearing about him was how great he was.....I didn't do much research on him besides a quick Wiki and saw he was some sort of death match guy from CZW and didn't do much after that. First time he debuted, I was like "that's that Moxley guy? He looks like a child molester." First couple of promos, I wasn't really paying attention, because he was not the guy in forefront. He was spastic in the mic, in the ring and all around mannerism, through that, I immediately saw something......different, and thought "hey, I should pay attention to this guy".

He really started coming into his own to me during the Shield feud with Evolution, when we all thought he was the obvious guy to turn on the team. I just liked how unique the guy was and how he stood out from all the cookie cutter create-a-wrestlers we got from the indies and through WWE's developmentl system. I think he has the ability to become a big deal in WWE, and think he will one day surpass Roman Reigns in popularity, not today or even tomorrow, I've gone on record and said he will be the biggest star coming out of The Shield. Only time will tell, but I think the sky is the limit for him.

Yeah I was with a lot of people that was like meh and hoped he failed. When he first came in just because marks was on his dick, since the small little thing with Foley. Then with the shield he was always the weak like and I still didn't see it but ever since they broke up and he's been on this crazy rampage against Seth I can't help but pop when he comes out or even when he grabs the mic. I'm looking forward to what plans they have for him I'm the future.

I'm the same. When he was with The Shield I was kind of indifferent on him. I much preferred Rollins, and at times Reigns as well.

I always felt he did have something to him though, but was just a little bit held back by being in a group. He wasn't given a lot of time on the mic, and wasn't given enough freedom to to go into his psycho mode considering the group he was in.

Since going solo though I think he's really come into his own. His mic work and overall mannerisms are really fun to watch, and he's been one of the highlights of the WWE over the past while. His in-ring work is a bit better as well, which I think is mostly down to him being in singles matches now. With The Shield I always felt his style wasn't fully suited to tag team matches (as good as they were). He's the kind of wrestler who needs to have his own space in matches, and not have to resort to tagging in or not. I think he's only going to get better as time goes on.

What? Wait a minute. THAT kind of brilliance came from CZW?...The garbage wrestling company? They seriously had that kind of talent, and used it to swing light tubes? WTF?

I never even heard of the guy before the Shield, but around the Shield/Uso's feud, I could see something there. Now, after the big split, I'm a huge fan. Love the character, love the way Ambrose is playing it.

I don't even know how much of a character he's playing, could just be how he is in real life and I wouldn't be surprised.

I've really been liking it, but I've been down with Dean since the Moxley days so I haven't really changed my views on him at all.

Ambrose has that 'mad man' mentality and its working great. He doesnt care what happens, so long he gets his revenge. Hes unpredictable, defiant, and edgy.

Bumping this.

Last night really sold me on the guy and as you all know, I was super negative on him during The Shield's run but I'm glad that he's managed to find his niche since going solo. The backstage segment with him last night was awesome, the look on his face and the line about it being for charity legit had me laughing.

Also helps that the guy is a 'cool' character and not in the smarky sense either.
