Diamond Dallas Page said during an interview with the Pro Wrestling Torch Livecast that the only wrestler he would come out of retirement to wrestle would be WWE Superstar Randy Orton. Otherwise, he has no interest in returning to the ring as he does not want to risk the quality of his life at the age of 55.

“That’s the only match I would come out of retirement for. I would put my body on the line only to be able to show I could still go. I would take my body to the limits I never thought I could at this age only for that angle, but that’s not going to happen because he’s already beat up all the old men. The only thing I’ll hook him with is he’s killed all the legends but he ain’t killed me yet,†says Page.

The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion considers The Viper the best worker in wrestling today and loves that his finishing maneuver, the RKO, is a variation of the Diamond Cutter. Pages credits John Laurinaitis with introducing him to the Diamond Cutter since the WWE executive was performing the Ace Crusher as his signature maneuver in Japan in the 1990s.

It would have been a good story to do back in 04 when Randy Orton had his Legend Killer gimmick. It is an easy story to write with a battle over the finishers; RKO vs. the Diamond Cutter. I can't see it working now but it would have been excellent back in the day.

It'd be interesting to see but coming back soley for that match don't think it'd be worth it. Maybe if he came back for a 6 month stint ending with that match.

DDP vs Randy Orton would work well maybe a few years ago and with the Diamond Cutter/RKO thing as Troy mentioned but do I think they could put on a worthwhile match now? No.

DDP coming back to possibly face Orton sometime down the road? Don't see it happening. DDP should stay retired and concentrate on his Yoga product.

I would not mind a one off match. Orton has faced far more limited guys and wasn't nearly the wrestler he is now. I'd like to see DDP have one more match in WWE before he goes in the HOF. I still say his wm18 match is way under appreciated for how he carried Chrisitan

That could be a good feud, I'd like to see that happen for sure, RKO vs Diamond Cutter would be great to see! WWE make it happen..

I just can't see it happening now. Randy Orton is a massive star now and DDP isn't one of the most well known stars from the past. Plus DDP is 55 so it would be tough for him to put on an excellent performance. It is just disappointing that this never occured back in the day because it would have been the perfect feud with these two. It would be quite random for DDP to come back for this one match against Orton, it would need a good setup to convince fans why Orton would actually wrestle DDP.

It would take a miracle for DDP to even look like a threat against Orton in this day and age. Plus, DDP isn't a legend.

Dunno, strikes me as lame that two guys would feud over who has the better version of a finisher, I cant say I want to see that.

Would have liked to see the match a few years ago but don't think it would be great now that DDP hasnt wrestled for a while

Hey, we've got a feud going on at the minute over a catchphrase, so why the hell not!
