I don't care. I'm not gonna doubt the director of Terminator 1 and 2, Titanic, and Avatar
Terminators, ALIENS and Titanic. He's also did Pirhanna 2 and True Lies, which aren't masterpieces. Avatar did well for 3 reasons, His first film in 12 years and since titanic, and 3D.
I don't think Avatar was bad, it was very device when it came out, but it was 19th all time in ticket sales, and I think it's gotten more love since it came out. But I dont think I've heard anyone say I can't wait for Avatar 2, 3 ,4, 6, Especially since it was supposted to come out 8 years ago. I see no reason for DC to move Shazaam especially in December when people go to movies post holidays. I think more people would be willing to watch Shazaam 2 then go back and watch Avatar 2 a second time. Not to mention the previous point of moving all your movies around after the bad publicity. You're just hurting yourselves more and people will wait the additional month or two for it to come out on streaming. I mean this is another discussion all together but with the release in theaaters to release on streaming becoming so short it's becoming increasingly impossible to tell how a box office will do anyway.
Dan Lin being the head of DCEU he's produced a lot of great films. He'll probably do well.
