For this next season:

  • Mick Foley: Hell in a Cell: “From the first terrifying fall off the cage to the impact he still feels today, Mick Foley relives a wrestling match, “Hell in a Cell ’98,” moment by moment.”
  • Blood, Fire and the Original Sheik: “The Sheik, whose violent career spanned fifty years, is revealed by his family and the few who survived his hardcore bloodbaths.”
  • Tony Atlas: Too Much, Too Soon: “With the physique of an Adonis and endless charisma, Tony Atlas makes his mark as one of wrestling’s first Black stars but racism, addiction and ego keeps Mr. USA from the top.”
  • Becoming Muhammad Hassan: “Just three years post-9/11, Marc Copani sees the highs and lows of wrestling when he’s given the chance to portray Muhammad Hassan, a villainous Arab-American character for the WWE.”
  • ‘Hot Stuff’ Eddie Gilbert: “Skilled as a performer in the ring and as a booker, who created storylines behind the scenes; ‘Hot Stuff’ Eddie Gilbert was a ticking timebomb of talent and self-destruction.”
  • Big Van Vader: “With an iconic look and skills few of his size could match, Big Van Vader stood out as a wrestling monster but controlling his anger became a bigger battle in and out of the ring.”
  • The Scream Queen: Daffney: “With her piercing scream, Shannon Spruill becomes a cult star as Daffney in the squared circle; outside the ring, Daffney fights a much more punishing battle with bipolar disorder.”
  • The Original ‘Superstar’: Billy Graham: “Often imitated, never duplicated, Billy Graham breaks the mold for what a wrestler could be but steroid abuse and battles with the McMahons keeps Graham from the spotlight.”
  • Ludvig Borga: Hellraiser From Helsinki: “A Finnish wrestling bad guy turned real-life racist politician, Tony Halme’s time in the WWF as Ludvig Borga is only the start of his chaotic and destructive life.”
  • Truth, Lies and Billy Jack Haynes: “An 80s wrestling star, Billy Jack Haynes’ life of violence and mystery leads to his current situation; behind bars and charged with the second degree murder of his wife.”

I missed some of the episodes of the past 2 seasons. I am watching the John Tenta one for the first time. Haku laughing his ass off after seeing the Shockmaster for the first time is the greatest thing

Really good first Episode for Season 6 of Dark Side of the Ring talking about the Hell in the Cell with Foley and Taker. I always get emotional when I watch the Match because I think about Mick is someone's Son, Father, or Husband and he could of legit died that Night. Foley talked about what goes into his head in these type of Matches and why he does it going back his days as a youngster.

Ludvig Borga: Hellraiser From Helsinki is going to be for next Week!

One thing I thought of when watching, is how much Cornette likes Mick. But something tells me if Mick was in his prime now, doing the stuff he was doing, Jim would talk shit on his podcast. Calling it garbage wrestling.

But great episode. I remember watching it live with my Uncle. Mick was a crazy fucking dude. Shocked he can even walk tbh

Nice to get to know a Little bit more of Mick Foley in terms of what made him tick and why he done such crazy stuff inside the ring. Absolutely flabbergasted that Jim Cornette is a fan of him that's for sure. Foley putting his body on the line for us as fans for our entertainment will always be why he's held in such high regard from the IWC.

Good opening Episode for Season Six, looking forward to seeing this for the next few weeks.

Not sure if I'll watch this first episode, because... well it's the HiaC 98 match. I'm sure it's interesting to have the story told by Mick condensed into one episode, probably with some new lines about it, but at the end of the day I've seen SO much about this match over the last 25 years. I'm tired hearing about it. :lol

The rest of the episodes are mostly very intriguing, but I am sad they completely went away from throwing at least a couple of non-Talent specific episodes in. I was scared about this happening with the last season and yea... that's disappointing. Nonetheless most of this season gonna be banger after banger, I'm sure.

Looch it's different than what Foley has talked about before, it's one of the better stories than heard before.

Well that was a bizarre episode . Vince was big on him but he had got an SS tattoo on his leg the fucking loser.

Chested on his wife and no one had a good word to say about him at all. Totally self destructive and have not a ounce of sympathy. Rot in hell .

Oh right, the Borga episode. ... Yea, he always was a racist piece of shit. Of course Vince wouldn't care, he had the look, could move in the ring and the typical foreign heel trope gave Vince as much of a raging hard-on as his WBF did. ...which they could've also made an episode on, especially in connection to the ICOPRO stuff.

Honestly I learned alot about Borga during the Episode this Week he's just not a guy I really looked up on in the past. Dude has a Nazi Tat on him First Wife when was he ever a nice guy I wanna know because it seemed like he was the Hulk if didn't get his way. I don't know why they didn't put a Manager with him the way he talked back then I remember and like they said he didn't stand out as a Wrestler. Pretty crazy it their was enough people in Finland who loved his Politics but he was a Ticking Timebomb he was going to last so long with his bs. I can only imagine the chaos he would of been causing if he was still alive.

Yeah apparently they way why he acted was due to childhood trauma . Not feeling loved by his mum was apparently why he acted like he did. Still it just made me sick to stomach about the SS tattoo, JR described him best. Had the look and size McMahon liked but his promos were the reason he didn't get over. Shit way to go though the way he ended at the end, that's only empathy I'll give him. Can't say I'd like anyone to do that if I'm.being honest.
