- F4Wonline.com reports that Daniel Bryan was injured in his match with Randy Orton on RAW last night and the finish they did was essentially a shoot as they stopped a match that Bryan was scheduled to win. The storyline mention that he suffered a stinger is legit.

PWInsider said:
As noted before, Daniel Bryan legitimately suffered a stinger in his match against Randy Orton on last night's RAW. WWE officials stopped the match because of this.

The planned finish had Bryan defeating Orton to help set up Bryan's main event run this summer.

We also noted how WWE's website aired a video of Triple H explaining that Bryan confronted him about the decision to stop the match but they both apologized to each other. This was also a shoot.

When Bryan returned to the back, he was "irate" and complained to Triple H that the match should not have been stopped. They got into a loud argument in the gorilla position backstage with a lot of people looking on. People were shocked because Bryan is usually soft spoken and good natured, plus he was standing up to Triple h of all people.

Bryan complained that he's worked all over the world, worked hurt and knows when he can go and when he can't. Triple H argued that they were protecting him and they don't want anyone working hurt. Both men did apologize to each other.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Among the most controversial moments of a wild Raw in Michigan was the unexpected stoppage of the Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton contest after the submission expert suffered a “stinger†in the middle of the bout and was deemed unfit to compete by WWE officials, with the final decision coming from WWE COO Triple H himself.

“Whether anybody likes it or not, it’s my job as COO of this company,†confirmed Triple H to WWE.com. “I made the call that Daniel Bryan’s health was important and I called the match.â€

WATCH: Bryan tells his side of the story | HHH tells his side of the story

Bryan – currently battling a self-imposed perception that he is a “weak link†– seemed less than happy at the result on air, and in fact, he let The Game know exactly how he felt once he stepped backstage.

“I saw Daniel face-to-face with Triple H, nose to nose, screaming at him, saying that the match should not have been stopped and he’d worked through several injuries over 13 years,†said referee John Cone, who followed Bryan into the locker room area. “Triple H fired back, saying he’s worked through torn quads, but Bryan was saying it was supposed to be the biggest match of his career and it was taken away from him.

“I’d never seen anything like it; they almost came to blows,†elaborated Cone. “Randy stepped in and pulled Daniel Bryan back, it was the craziest thing I’d ever seen backstage.â€

Layla agreed: “It was probably the most intense argument I have ever seen right in front of me.†The former Divas Champion was backstage when Bryan emerged through the curtain.

“Bryan beelined straight for Triple H, and the passion in his voice – [he said] ‘I have wrestled for 13 years, this was supposed to be my biggest match, my biggest accomplishment; you don’t ever stop a match without me!’â€

Alicia Fox, who was also backstage with several of the Divas, agreed.

“I think he was just trying to state his fact that he’s very passionate about what he does, his job and how he handles his work in the ring and taking care of his body,†she said. “At the same time, the way Triple H saw it, he was looking out for his safety, his well-being for his future, the company, and future matches to come.â€

All the eyewitnesses seemed to agree the two Superstars were coming from a place of passion, not animosity.

“Both Daniel Bryan and Triple H have a ton of passion, if anyone could relate to what Daniel Bryan felt it’d be Triple H,†Natalya said, “But I’d just never heard an exchange so heated like that in my life.â€

“I’ve never seen Daniel like that before,†Cameron said. “He was cursing, just saying he’s worked through everything … Triple H was only doing what’s right for Daniel, but Daniel is just so passionate about this business.â€

Veteran official Chad Patton drew a haunting parallel in his own summary of the argument: “What I did see when Daniel Bryan and Triple H went at it, for him to talk to his boss and just to the extreme he was doing it, I haven’t seen anything like it since Bret Hart and Vince McMahon.â€

Triple H himself confirmed the situation had been smoothed over and both parties apologized to each other, but Bryan’s status for this Friday’s SmackDown is still up in the air. While he has been reviewed by WWE doctors, his injury requires close observation and further tests will be done down the line before his scheduled bout with U.S. Champion Dean Ambrose
So what do people make of this then? Do you think it actually was a shoot that they've ended up covering pretty well and possibly made into a future storyline, or do you just think it was a worked shoot from the start?

I think it was one of those things where the match was legit stopped but then WWE did one of their famous turn a bad thing into a good thing. Just saying, I will mark the fuck out for a Triple H/Bryan feud. Having Trips put over Bryan could be the best thing in his entire career.

It's hard to say someone at WWE is getting really good at playing the sites and blurring the line again. I'd say it was real and is now a work just because of how it looked.

It's not like this was a screwjob. Bryan was legitimately hurt and unlike the indies who love that whole "fight through the torment" kind of thing, WWE and more importantly Triple H did the right thing by stopping the match. But as this tidbit of news has become nearly viral, I'd say WWE would be smart to capitalize on it.

Naturally any time there's mention of it on WWE.com, I take it with a grain of salt. The only two times I've ever seen something real on their website (that didn't involve a death) was after the Montreal Screwjob and the Edge/Matt/Lita situation. This incident really doesn't come close to either of those controversies, so I'm inclined to think it's a work.

If there's no mention of it on Raw next Monday and they keep building Bryan the way they have been, maybe culminating with a big win at MITB, then I'd believe it. But now that they've publicized the incident, I'm sure it's getting a mention on Raw now.

One thing that definitely sticks out though is the lack of interaction between Triple H and DB leading up to this. Especially with the angle Triple H has going on, which isn't really that of an authority figure. It's definitely an unusually sudden swerve if it's a work.

I think it's legit, but I think they've already started capitalizing on it. I seriously doubt WWE would have been looking to get Superstars and Divas commenting on this situation... it seems like something that would be kept tight-lipped. It was behind Gorilla, so technically, nobody in the world ever would have known that it happened. The only reason I can imagine they'd ask the talent to comment on the story is because someone was caught filming the situation and they were terrified of a leak.

I believe that the match was legitimately stopped, that wasn't planned, but I'm not sure if Bryan was actually mad about that because this is a good way to push the guy even with that loss, saying he didn't want it to be stopped and stuff.

Think its a work because otherwise I can't think they would allow talent to be commenting on it to the press. Whatever the case it will be interesting to see what happens if anything.

Triple H can beat Brock Lesnar but can't beat Brian Danielson?

Yeah, I'll pass on that one.

On topic, obviously fake report. Trips would of slapped the fuck out of this clown had he spoke down to him.

Whole thing looked like a shoot to me. With both guys doing two totally different storylines I don't see why they'd feel the need to make up a story like this. Granted, I don't know why they'd report it either, but that just seems more believable.

Oh yeah, cause its good for business for the boss to "slap the fuck" out of one of his employees. You have such a great business mind.

Also, with the current story, Triple H is so broke and crippled now that anyone can beat him. That's why they don't him wrestling anymore. One kick to the head by Daniel and Triple H is out.

What's that got to do with anything? That wasn't even a fight, a front face lock isn't a fight.

Anyways, anything with the words "legit" and "shoot" in wrestling sites are pure bullshit not to mention the whole thing on wwe.com. Also just because two have words in rasam in doesn't automatically mean feud, just a ruse to give some shine on the vegan, kind of like Punks worked shoot. Net nerds orgasm over their faves standing up to those evil, inept and hates rasslin wwe guys like a Vince McMahon and now Triple H.

I think you are spot on with WWE turning a bad thing into a good thing. It is WWE's method to draw traffic away from wrestling news websites and instead drive it to their website with things like this. Good to see Bryan actually make his point to HHH after the match, doubt it will lead to anything in the ring and I don't know why so many expect it will.
