With Brock Lesnar retiring from mixed martial arts after his loss to Alistair Overeem last Friday night at UFC 141, the obvious question became whether or not he'd make a return to the WWE.

UFC President Dana White initially wasn't sure the exact details of Lesnar's contract with the UFC, and wouldn't commit to a yes or no on whether Lesnar would be allowed to go to the WWE at the post-fight press conference. However, catching White slightly inebriated on his way out of a Hollywood bar on New Year's, a fan on the street filmed White and got a direct answer to that question.

"Yes," White responded in a video posted online by Pop Candies TV when asked if Lesnar could go to the WWE. "Yes, he can go to the WWE."

There's not much more to it outside of that, with White adding that Jon "Bones" Jones is the next big star for the UFC to market when asked that question as well. Now, whether Lesnar legitimately wants to return to the WWE or not is an entirely different question, but if the money and the schedule are right for him, the door is open on the UFC's end.

That's good but he said he was getting into grappling soon, but I doubt it if WWE have already thrown an offer on the table. If he does return, it will be either against Taker this year but I'm not sure he would want to do that and jump straight into WWE right after retiring from UFC. WM29 possibly? When he does return, he'll do something like The Rock is doing but much more involvement. Although not a full time schedule.

Interesting that Dana said that as he's never one to give away things like this until they're official. If it's true then it's all down to whether Lesnar is willing to return. I can't see him returning now or in the near future, but he always has that option.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens for the rest of the year, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm actually glad I clicked on this. This is pretty hilarious.

Not sure I'd take any of this to heart but without the video I wouldn't have held to anything.

Well if the UFC and Dana allow it, the decision is now up to Brock. So it's 50/50.

I think it would be pretty great to see a return by Lesnar, he could be a main event superstar again. Is it just me or is there alot of WWE returns just waiting to happen?

Why would he go back to a dying genre of entertainment when he can earn more by staying in the UFC?

WWE isn't a dying genre of entertainment, it's a very successful and loved genre of entertainment.

Exactly, I can see a return at Royal Rumble, actually, I can see more than one return at Rumble.... not only Lesnar but I think Bobby Lashley may be in the match as well. Disagree if you want but I think Lashley could have a spot..

If the latest reports on Lashley are true, I could see him at Royal Rumble. I would've said no to Lashley at RR until very recently when Jericho returned, and I'm not sure Jericho counts as a "surprise" entrant anymore if he's in the match. Now its very open.

I wouldn't be suprised if he was in the match, or even if Jericho won it! I think it is very open so I do hope Lashley AND Lesnar return in that match.

Because Vince would pay him a fortune to work a short program that wouldn't require months of training camps and getting his ass beat?
