OK, I forgot exactly on which site was it, but not long ago, a former writter of the WWE had a blog in which he would discuss ideas pitched on creative around 2002-2003. Among some interesting ideas (how the Billy and Chuck thing happened, the Kane and Taker angles going into No Mercy, how they thought of having a War Games free on SD, but instead they decided on having it at SS for the Raw brand)

But the one thing that caught my attention was that instead of that lackluster feud going into that "match" at SS02 between Brock Lesnar and Big Show, the actual initial idea was...

Hulk Hogan vs Brock Lesnar.

Earlier that year Lesnar took out Hogan with his Bearhug, and the plan was to have ,at MSG, Hogan make his return in challenging Lesnar for the WWE Championship.

IMO, that seems a great feud. But hey, wonder why that never happened?

Hogan wanted to win the belt.

So instead of what would have been a good feud, we got Show vs Lesnar in a very lackluster feud.

Would you have liked to see Hogan vs Lesnar in a feud?

"Meh".

They had a match with a clean outcome... Ya not likely to get much more out of Hogan, besides I thought the Lesnar/Show/Angle betrayal triangle with Heyman at the helm and Brock's subsequent 'against the odds' battle for another title shot was pretty good stuff.

just on a side note it was Rock vs. Lesnar when Lesnar won his first championship in Summerslam 2002 I have that PPV on Video anyway yea Hogan is just got too big of an ego and won't put anyone over he thinks he is still the next big thing after 30+ years and I wouldn't be suprised if he tries to get a championship win over someone else in the coming future as he reaches the age of 80 even though he probably would get denied.

That's why if Hogan ever had his last match on Raw or any PPV event he would not get a standing ovation for the whole raw show by all WWE employees like Flair did because Flair was totally the opposite which I don't feel like getting into the obvious reason of Flair putting talent over like Orton and Batista now.

Not so much in WCW he wasn't.

Hogan vs Lesnar happened on SD two weeks before the PPV

yea I know that but in your first post when you said a few times Big Show vs. Lesnar SS unless you mean Survivor Series I was saying Summerslam 202 was Rock vs. Lesnar not Show vs. Lesnar.

never said Hogan v Lesnar didn't happen.

why would i wanna order a PPV in 2002 with a world title match that has Hulk Hogan in it...

a 50+ yr old Pwning people 20-30 yrs younger than him :smh....

but one feud i thought would of sold if WCW did it on PPV.. would of been a One on one Battle of DDP vs Hogan back in 1997/8....

i wonder why that never happened...(They were building DDP up highly in that time)

I remember WCW doing Bret hart vs Hogan on WCW nitro and it's Blowed big time...
