Former NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife and child escaped a plane crash in Tennessee without serious injuries on Thursday, said Carter County Sheriff Dexter Lunceford.

The Cessna Citation rolled off the end of a runway after landing at Elizabethton Municipal Airport in Elizabethton, about 65 miles north of Asheville, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Two pilots were on board, according to the FAA.

The former race car driver was taken to Johnson City Medical Center. He was the only person on board who was hospitalized, according to the sheriff.

His injuries were described as cuts and abrasions.

Earnhardt's sister, Kelley Earnhardt, tweeted: "I can confirm Dale, Amy & Isla along with his two pilots were involved in a crash... Everyone is safe and has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation."

Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate.

Really glad he and his family are okay.

Come on, his kid was on the plane y'all. No time for jokes. Yeah they are all okay but when a little baby is apart of it, I feel jokes should be like, not really a thing. But maybe it's just cause I was a fan of his haha.

I mean I wouldn't have posted it but I can't help that it came to my mind and then I scrolled down and KIF already said it :side:

But personally, I think jokes are alright since they are all okay, but it definitely had to have been traumatic for everyone. I just joke about shit that's happened in my life the same way though bc sometimes it just helps to laugh at trauma

Tho to be fair :p where he wasn't nowhere near as good as his father, he wasn't bad. I mean he won some big races and did good. Just glad he's alright.

That was my way of sayin' I am glad he survived.

Clearly, I could have went darker... Plus it's me you can't expect me to shy away from a joke.
Honestly, I don't know much about you. Sorry bro, but you're like new to me compared to people like Chris, Deezy, and others. Even tho you been here awhile, I just got no idea who you are other than what I seen in the CB the last week or two..

No such thing as too soon.....you can't make exceptions if you want to keep it fair.
