AEW signs prominent act to extension
Great news for an All Elite Wrestling tag team that has made a big splash.
Fightful Select has learned that the team of 2point0 have signed AEW contract extensions. Angelo Parker and Matt Menard, formerly Chase Parker and Matt Lee, joined AEW on August 4, 2021 before being announced as signing full-time deals on August 19 of that year. Since then, they've been involved in several major stories and joined the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Menard, also known as "Daddy Magic" has been doing commentary for AEW while out with an injury, while "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker has still appeared on AEW TV during that period. The two have received heavy praise both from fans and peers for their work in AEW, and those that we've heard from in the company say that the two have been good to work with in their yearlong run.
The two competed in NXT as Ever-Rise before heading to AEW. On June 15 of 2021, Fightful Select reported that the duo had recently signed new deals there. They were released by WWE just ten days later.
