As stated previously. Cena has stepped away from title feuds to focus on building new stars.

The belt isn't being contested for among Cena and Bray. Cena and Bray is a the modern equivalent of a blood feud. Cena deciding to even momentarily ignore the man who has been hounding him and haunting him for the past year to focus on the belt is stupid booking.

Having a feud for it between Evolution and Shield makes much more sense playing on the fact that Evolution did not want Bryan to hold the belt in the first place. And them stripping Bryan of the belt is the biggest injustice of all in that situation, which plays perfectly in the MO of the shield, which helps the feud between the two factions. Thus putting the belt on a member of Evolution or Shield makes sense, whilst putting it on Cena or Wyatt does not.

Disagree - Cena vs. Wyatt is about spreading Wyatt's message and influencing fans away from Cena. What better way for Bray to express it to the WWE universe than as champ?

I don't see how you can put the title into a 3 vs. 3 angle tbh and, in turn, how Reigns would win it from there.

It would if John was already champ, alas he is not. The Wyatt character does not need a belt to work as seen on NXT and in FCW. He never held a belt in NXT and was easily the top heel. Harper and Rowan are more likely to win tag gold before Bray. Bray does not need a belt to destroy Cena and take his fans away from him since Cena's fans in kayfabe have not gathered around him for him holding belts, but for what he stands for, which is what Bray wants to destroy.

Reigns winning the belt is very easily booked. With One member of Evolution taking the belt as his own (most likely Triple H since they are building towards Triple H and Reigns (most likely in some form of elimination/ladder match with the last man standing/ the man to reach the top of the ladder becoming champ. Or they could just award Hunter the belt to give him some easy heat.) H then defends against Dean/Seth at MITB and then takes on Reigns at Summerslam, establishing Roman as the next top star.

Kane will probably be awarded the strap. Either Triple H or Stephanie will just hand the championship(s) over to him on next week's Raw or something, awarding him for being fiercely loyal to them and for putting Daniel Bryan out (if it's Stephanie that awards the titles to him, perhaps this is the moment where she reveals that she was never truly sorry for what Kane has done to Daniel Bryan, as she was the one who wanted the monster unleashed in the first place and is now pleased with the results.) Kane will cut a promo talking about how Bryan won the battle (i.e. the match at Extreme Rules), but he won the war. Then cue the Big Show's (or whoever's) music to jump start a title feud for Payback. Kane will then hold the strap until Bryan returns to win it.

If any member of Evolution wins the championship, then it only makes sense for it to be Hunter, him being the leader and all. Just give him the championships as Stop suggested (hey, it's 2002 all over again), but do not put the championship on Roman Reigns at Summerslam. He hasn't even ventured off onto his own as a singles competitor yet and putting the title on him this early could prove to be detrimental to his career. I think a better suggestion is to set up Hunter/Reigns for the title at Summerslam, screw Reigns out of a win (perhaps this is where Ambrose or Ambrose/Rollins together turn on Reigns and cost him the title, perhaps due to jealousy), then have Reigns screw HHH out of the title at Night Of Champions (against Bryan, most likely), and then put Reigns over Hunter in a HIAC match at the Hell In A Cell PPV in October (then blow off the entire Reigns/HHH feud completely by having them go at it with their own teams in a traditional Elimination Match at Survivor Series.) If done this way, everybody benefits.

Is it crazy that part of me thinks Bryan's real-life neck surgery is all just a work to add juice to the storyline? I guess you know you've been watching wrestling for too long when you start thinking that someone's surgery might be a work as well lol.

I dunno, the logical part of my brain is obviously telling me how dumb of a notion that is, but the shock of Lesnar ending the streak last month still has me second guessing a lot of things.

I wonder when they will make the final call on whether to vacate the title or not.

Probably after the surgery.

The surgeon will have a read coming out of it how long he'll need for recovery, if it was a "good injury" (one which will require little to no time to recover from) or a "worse than expected injury" (one that will sideline him for a long time), what a prognosis for long-term effects are, etc.

After they know how long he'll be out, they'll determine whether or not to vacate the title(s).

Surgery is today right? Wonder when the news will come out on the dirtsheets what the results were.

I was just reading some older stuff and I never realized last year when he was facing Orton and they stopped the match and then he went out back and yelled at HHH was all real. I just assumed it was part of the weak link storyline they had going for him. Interesting. Sounds like the guy has been putting his body through the ringer throughout his career.

Hmm, I hope they are vacated, not because of my dislike for DB but because I wanna see how they handle it just a few weeks before Payback; adding a bit more anticipation.

Me too. I'm really interested to see what they do (as long as it's not Kane v Big Show). Nothing else interesting going on at the moment in WWE.

True dat, always nice to add a little spice to something that is looking a little dry. I get it it's called "payback" so the matches should primarily be based around rematches or revenge but still a potential vacant WWE/WHC match is going to be delightful should that be the case.
