Probably will be stripped of the title next Monday. He can return to win it back from someone at SummerSlam.
Pwinsider also says that they will only strip him if they get a bad report from the surgery on his recovery time. If the news are good he will most likely keep the belt.

It's also only a minor break and won't require something as invasive as fusion surgery.

If Bryan's out for 2 months he'll probably keep the belt.

Still, truly sucks to be him. Ever since Wrestlemania and his marriage it's been one thing after another for the guy. There's a lesson here, kids. Don't get married. Or do diving headbutts off of forklifts.

I hope you're joking because they've done a good job of re-establishing Kane as a monster so far, and having a group of disgruntled jobbers take Kane out would undo all of that.

They'll likely call upon the Big Show to do a job to Kane at Payback.
Kane has no business wrestling full time right now, he's much better putting someone over and then leaving to come back and occasionally wrestle if he really wants to.

Doubt it. They're not going to have 2 (possibly 3) PPVs where the Championship isn't defended, especially now there is only 1 title.

Give it to Wyatt at Payback and have Bryan win it back in his return match at SummerSlam.

Wyatt ain't ready for the championship yet. And probably won't be until some time in the fall. Mid-summer at earliest.

Don't see why not. In that case, Cena is the only alternative.

I don't see the Wyatt character as a character that cares about belts and gold. The only think Bray cares about is destruction, plus he hasn't even been on the roster for a full year.

My guess, Roman Reigns push being fast forwarded a bit. Involving Evolution some how.

Cena has taken a step back from the title feuds to help establish new stars and he seems like the last resort.

Lol. Wyatt - who has gone over Bryan, The Shield and Cena already this year - isn't ready but Reigns is. Reigns hasn't had a singles match on PPV? wtf you on about?

Reigns is the next big guy in the company. He's the top project and top priority. They want to establish him at the top, what better way than having him trump Evolution for the WWE WHC.

Wyatt is below Reigns on the pecking order. Reigns has also been on the main roster longer and taken on more established names as a part of the shield.

It's simple logic. They want to establish Reigns as one of their top babyfaces for the forseeable future, so putting the belt on him makes perfect sense from that point of view. Heels don't need titles to reach the top of the heel spectrum. Rowdy Roddy Piper who is considered one of the best heels of all time never held the WWF title, same with Mr. Perfect.

I just don't see Wyatt as a title contender after this feud with Cena. Not that he's "buried" or anything, just needs rebuilding.

Reigns is more protected but his title win won't come until WM31 at the earliest. Wyatt is given a mic every episode of RAW & SD and has already gone over Bryan and Cena on PPV. Reigns is a member of The Shield and has arguably never had a good singles match. Also, obviously a heel needs the title as most likely the authority will be stripping Bryan against his will, drawing heat on the next champ. Saying Reigns is more likely to win the WWEWHC at Payback than Wyatt is ridiculous.

Wyatt isn't done with Cena, and as Rainman said, is not a title contender after it. He needs to be built more because he's not the biggest dog in the yard. The Shield and Evolution are warring for that spot and it is between those two groups that we will find the next champ if they strip Bryan of the belt. It makes the most sense.

Wyatt is not ready. Nor is he a character that needs a belt.

Hypothetical situation would be: Good guy Cena complains to Stephanie about Bryan being stripped of the belt. She gives him the opportunity to challenge for the vacant title at Payback, with Kane still in the hunt. As he's just defeated Cena and carries on terrorising him, Wyatt is added to the match. Ultimate underdog Cena vs. two monsters.

As stated previously. Cena has stepped away from title feuds to focus on building new stars.

The belt isn't being contested for among Cena and Bray. Cena and Bray is a the modern equivalent of a blood feud. Cena deciding to even momentarily ignore the man who has been hounding him and haunting him for the past year to focus on the belt is stupid booking.

Having a feud for it between Evolution and Shield makes much more sense playing on the fact that Evolution did not want Bryan to hold the belt in the first place. And them stripping Bryan of the belt is the biggest injustice of all in that situation, which plays perfectly in the MO of the shield, which helps the feud between the two factions. Thus putting the belt on a member of Evolution or Shield makes sense, whilst putting it on Cena or Wyatt does not.
