'Smoke and Mirrors' begins blasting out as Cody Rhodes's titantron is lit up, the crowd begins booing as Cody Rhodes comes from behind the curtain wearing a white and black hoodie. Cody is carrying a microphone as he begins speaking as the music slowly fades out.

Cody Rhodes:

Well, Well, Well... I thought I was dreaming but I'm clearly not, the mirror I see is shining so bright. So bright that it holds a future for me and for me only, never to this day did I think I'd be given the opportunity. An opportunity to do something that's never been done before, just when you all thought your hero Shawn Michaels was retired... he wasn't. The poor man is a lost cause, he was so lost inside him that he couldn't bear listening to his wife during the day. He's just like you people, all lazy and easily manipulated, Shawn couldn't handle the housework, you couldn't handle the 'affectioniate' that was provided by your family. But unlike you Shawn... I was never given that 'affectioniate', I was never provided with the things you were given, the fame... headlining Wrestlemania, the entire lot. In Two Thousand And Eleven, I was given absolutely nothing while you found your way to be General Manager, you found your way to help Christian, turn your back on the wrestling world after you said you 'retired'. You just don't know when to give up do you Shawn? DO YOU?! And this is why I attacked you Shawn, I attacked you because you continue to run away... You're no longer a man, you're a child with demons filled inside you. You must face your personal demons Shawn, you must accept the fact it's time to 'leave', sit at home with your family where you belong... You need the things I never received but right now Shawn, you're just becoming like my father. A man who put me to shame, tortured me as a child by refusing to see my childhood, I'm damaged, destroyed all thanks to my father Dusty. Your children are becoming like me Shawn, I don't want your children to suffer... Nobody deserves to suffer like I did, my half-brother Goldust took my childhood away because he received the 'special-treatment' but here I am, here I am today standing tall over my family. The name 'Rhodes' isn't about Dusty nor Goldust, it's about the name 'Cody Rhodes', we've just turned a new page, a new year... I promise you this is the year where I am known, you people will forget who Dusty and Goldust were...

The crowd heavily boo's at Cody's hatred for the audience and his family.

You Shawn, you've had your time in the 'spotlight'. You've done it all in your career and you continue to live to your name... You came back because you're jealous of me, my good-looks, my greatness... My will to become a 'Champion'. Since I attacked you Shawn, you haven't been heard of... Are you afraid to come to the ring and speak to me like a man? I'm hearing things backstage that you're bringing Kevin Nash as your bodyguard? What is this Shawn? What happened to you being able to come out here by yourself and facing your demons? Is it because Triple H isn't able to assist you right now? I don't hide behind anybody Shawn, I do things on my 'own' terms and luckily enough my actions have given me what I truly wanted in the first place. The past year has haunted me, it's damaged me much like my childhood but now I turn a new page, I'm going to watch this year unfold into greatness and you all will be WITNESSING the greatness I possess. Shawn, your career will end not under the hands of 'The Undertaker' in the other company, but I, Cody Rhodes will end you for good. I will make sure you are never wrestling for any promotion ever again after Showdown of Dreams, the name speaks for itself. Showdown of Dreams, for far too long I've dreamt of retiring someone, ending someone's career and being known as a successor much more than they ever were. I don't need weapons like many other people do, I'm a unique person Shawn, what I do is completely different. My abilities in the ring has always been greater than the 'Rhodes' name itself, it's greater than your career Shawn and I am going to prove to you my attack wasn't just an attack... but something that will see myself being a better person. My father never achieved anything in WWE, while he did acheive a few things in the NWA, that means nothing... I'm here in CWF and I'm going to make sure you all WITNESS this very match as for you Shawn... I'm no American Dream, I'm your 'American Nightmare'.

The crowd erupts as HBK comes out from the back. HBK gets the fans excited as he gets them behind him. HBK then drops down to his knees and holds his arms in the air as his pyro goes off

HBK gets up to his feet and starts heading to the ring. As HBK gets inside the ring he is handed a microphone and asks the crowd to quiet down a little bit as he is ready to speak

HBK: Cody Rhodes, let's get right down to business shall we. It is clear not in only my eyes, but anyone and everyone who has followed my career that your attacks you keep doing to me are for one reason and one reason only and that is to be the man who finally put HBK on the shelve for good. When I lost to the Undertaker a few years ago, I was retired, but then I came back and I came back for one reason to prove to myself I still had it. And I think after my epic battle with the Deadman on Nitro just a few weeks ago, I have accomplished my goal. You know I may have lost that match, but all these fans were able to witness Shawn Michaels at his very best again. And you may not understand that because you're just another one of those young superstars waiting and lurking for that moment to take away something a superstar like myself has built up for over twenty plus years. You want to just like those who failed at putting Shawn Michaels down. And boy if I had a nickel every time some stiff came up to me and said they wanted to be the one to put ole' HBK down, then I'd be a millionaire. Wait, I am a millionaire and it's because of stiffs like you!


The fans cheer HBK on and bust out and HBK chant while Cody Rhodes doesn't look pleased with HBK


HBK: I built my career on people like you. It's because of guys like you I am famous for what I do in this ring. Take a lesson from all those who failed, stop what you're doing and look in the mirror and see yourself ten years from now and think about the time you tried to put Shawn Michaels down for good. Now I want you to think about you tried every way possible to keep him down, but yet you still failed at accomplishing your goal. And because you failed, you failed in your career as all you could think about is that one moment, that one moment where you tried to do too much at once and it all came crashing down on you. Now you got to ask yourself, was it worth it? There have been many who have walked this path, some went on and still have succeeded, but most of them have failed. You Cody are going to end up being just like the rest of them!


HBK lowers his microphone as the intensity starts hitting overdrive in the ring


HBK: On Sunday, I plan on walking out of the twenty minute Iron Man match the winner. It was I who invented the Iron Man match as Bret Hart and I sold out the Arrowhead Pond in California for WrestleMania 12 as our sixty-plus Iron Man match will forever be known and talked about. And you know who walked out of that match the winner? You're looking at him. I may not be in the shape I was almost sixteen years ago, but I know how to keep myself energized for this match and although it may only be a twenty minute match, stamina will always be the key to winning here. And that is something I think you will fail at. You are going to try so hard to get that first pinfall right away that it suffocates the rest of the match for you as you use all your energy up before the match even gets going. And by the time you realize it, twenty minutes has passed and a sweet chin music later, you're looking up at the Heart Break Kid having his hand raised as the winner!


HBK lowers his microphone once more as another massive HBK chant breaks out. Cody Rhodes then gets ready to speak ​
